Yeah I think this loan move could be make or break for Ben. He really needs to impress.
Seems to have started well.. assist on his debut (against Sunderland)Oxford United FC✔@OUFCOfficialIt's a debut goal for Tariqe FOSU as Ben Woodburn nips in to steal possession and slips the winger through on goal and he makes no mistake as he shoots past Jon McLoughlin. #AFCS 0-1 #OUFC
Wondered what the academy teams were doing. Seems a mixed team (U19s) has been out in Germany playing in a tournament. Now playing Spurs in the semi final tomorrow. Report on lfc website
Looks like a mixture of familiar faces like Dixon-Bonner, Neco Williams and Leighton Clarkson with some younger lads like Layton Stewart and Dominic Corness.
We’re 1-0 up at half time Spurs. Don’t know who scored
Looks like we lost 5-3 to Spurs in the end, and then lost the 3rd-4th playoff 1-0 to Schalke. Disappointing end
Seems our EFL Trophy game against Oldham this wednesday isn't on tv. Shame really I was looking forward to seeing how we get on against senior pros.Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
Might be on LFCTV?
It's not scheduled to be according to the official site though that doesn't mean anything. Just seems weird its not on any channel as it's the only game being played in the competition that night.Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
Well that would be a bugger
They cant show it on LFCTV as Sky have the rights to the competition
Which is why I was surprised it's not on tv mate. It's the only fixture in the competition being played that night and the first time our academy lads have entered it, I'd have thought Sky would have jumped in there pronto.Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
There’ll be a stream somewhere as you can buy the match on ifollow which is the football league service for streaming matches
Any guess at team for wed night ? Who the hell be in goals ?
A goalkeeper, probably.
No Wilson, Kent, Philips or Curtis Jones at Melwood for the photo shoot of the first team yesterday. Unlikely he is off on loan without signing a new contract.
Wouldn't be surprised if Jones just sits the year out
His contract runs out in a year and he's not signed an extension yet. He's spent about 18 months training with the first team and has 45 minutes in a nothing fa cup game to show for it, Elliott has now come in and basically taken his space in the first team squad and there's not really a clear path to the first team in midfield at the moment. He might sign a new deal, get a loan and everything then is fine for now. But this is basically his only chance for the next 3-5 years where he has a lot of leverage. His england team mates are making moves in search of first team football, he might want that as well.
Game is down to be on lfctv go now.As for the team it'll depend on loans and if they're going to drop certain players down, but at a guess: atherton, Williams, Gallagher, johnston, larouci, bonner, lewis, christie-davies, millar, jones, duncan
It’s not on LFC tv or any other channel
Can’t see any supporters at all going to this hardly advertised at all. Anyone even taking this remotely at interest ?
Guys, I don’t know who it was the 18s were playing against, but going off his recent Instagram posts, this Koumetio lad is an absolute unit.
Pretty sure Jones has a deal until 2021 anyway- he signed his 1st pro deal in February of 2018, and they are 3 years in length if I’m not mistaken.
