No one can expect Benitez to pass off an opportunity like Chelsea. His career was clearly stagnating and this is the perfect springboard.

If he has Chelsea doing well at the end of his interim management, he'll probably be able to pick which team he goes to next.

Exactly. Gutted that he's going there, but he needs to be back in the game. Good luck Agent Benitez. Time to commence Operation Anfield Exercise.

Will be very interesting to see come January if Rafa is in charge then, what moves they make in the transfer window.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

My two pence

Rafa good luck to him, he waited for us and we didnt turn up.

He always acted with class and I wish him well

He didn't wait for us. He was doing nothing anyway and it's not like he turned down any offers in the hope he would get the Liverpool job.

I know I should be pleased for Rafa.

He only ever did good things for this club.

I was relieved for him when we let him go. Gutted for me and gutted for the club.

But this is like waching your missus run off with the flash gobshite with the big sports car.

Headfuck.

Love Rafa.

Hate Chelsea.

I hope he does just enough to put himself in the shop window, to be offered a decent job, by a decent club, and away from that gang of cock suckers.

Do I want him to win anything at Chelsea?

Seriously?

I'd rather pull out my pubic scrotum hairs with a a pair of tweezers than see Chelsea win anything. Even if it is Rafa at the helm.

Good luck Rafa, but not that much luck you win anything for that ungrateful puppet master who signs the pay cheques.

then your love rafa outweighs your love for liverpool

Look i love the fella, i'd walk to the end of the earth for him, as a person. He is gone, its like the whole alonso thing. its cringeworthy. We have a top fella in charge or us now, that needs our support more than ever. If there was ever a time that a manger of LFC needs the famous fans we worked hard for century to become its now.

Let Rafa get on with it. He's not ours. We don't own him.

Haha some people in here need to get a grip.. Im sure its been said by many but ffs rafa owes us nothing. We overlooked him a couple of times for the managers job so he's perfectly entitled to go for any job he wants. Good luck rafa hope you can stop the red mancs winning the league.. Other than that dont give two shits what happens there. On a more positive note for those of you currently crying your eyes out, hes only there for six months as things stand. It'll be over soon :-)

Why post stuff like this?

Can't blame him for taking the opportunity with some of the players they have this year.  Plus he knows how to get the best out of FT. Bet he's smiling tonight.

Just hope he can handle the abuse he's already getting and will get for the entire time he's there from that shower of c**ts.

Nothing but love for you Rafa!

Sorry, but some people here seem to be RAFA-supporters rather LFC-supporters.
I have a great amount of respect for RAFA for all what he did for us.
However, I hope he is a miserable failure at Chelsea.
We are talking about RAFA in the same terms as Paisley, Dalglish, and Shankly.
I have a hard time accepting such a figure going to such a club.

Rafa, I love you but I hope you fail in your next project.
