90 was the first one I remember watching from opening ceremony to closing, and it was great. Some really entertaining matches, even the 1-0s and 0-0s. My sister had a massive crush on Maradona and she cried like a baby when Argentina lost the final. Weirdly, I became Klinsmann-obsessed after that WC and would buy Shoot! and any other magazine with his mug on the cover. Even though he played for Tottenham.
2010 was hilarious. I didn't mind the vuvuzelas at all. Endless complaints from match commentators were way more annoying. That Holland-Spain final was so mind-numbing you would've died of boredom if it weren't for the vuvuzelas. Fondest memories of 2010 was getting to watch that WC with my mum, who was visiting me in North Wales. Lasting memory was that Ghana-Uruguay game and Suarez doing Suarez things.
2018 was just a bad World Cup. It also started the trend of FIFA selling the tournament to the highest bidder. France were not inspiring as champions. Would've preferred anybody but them to win.
