We don't need the world to 'recognise' him as world-class. He's an outstanding footballer in this Liverpool team, and that's all we need him to be. Nothing more. How many other LB's would have gone back into position after his blocked shot ahead of Bobby's goal?

He doesn't need to be a left-sided iteration of Trent because he provides a completely different set of attributes. Ah okay, Trent isn't defensively a robot at RB but that's the beauty of this Liverpool team is we know our perceived weaknesses and adapt accordingly so that ones strengths are optimised.

Love everything about Robbo, but his mentality is ridiculous, he's never heard of giving up on lost causes. His growth over the last 5 years has been meteoric, and he is a superb player who we're so lucky to watch every week.

For performance levels he is our most consistent player.

Was absolutely fantastic tonight,so often in the right position to clear when they got to the byline.

better engine, faster, and piles up the assists. I don't think that's a fair comparison - apart from the consistency part (maybe) - as Robertson regularly puts in world class performances too.

Deservedly the man of the match. He has upped his game since Tsimikas arrived as he looked at times as if his exertions with Scotland were having an effect on his performances. I think he was playing with a slight injury due to lack of back-up as well.

As usual he was excellent in defence last night but I marvelled at his run to the touch line to make the block that led to Bobby’s goal. The ball could have gone out for a throw-in or goal kick but he instantly saw that it was spinning in play towards the goal. He was on it in a flash, looked up to see Bobby’s signal and delivered the perfect weighted pass. It needed some pace to allow Bobby to perform his trigonometry for the right angle past Ramsdale. 😀

He’s a very talented intelligent footballer and I can’t believe how he has performed since he arrived via Hull.
One of our best ever? Byrne, Hughes, Lindsay, A.Kennedy, or any other you remember folks? Djimi!

After Saturday's game I said Robbo was worrying me lately, too many turnovers starting counter-attacks. Today he was brilliant in every respect, his spirit. leadership, aggressiveness, wise use of the ball. It was his tackle leading to our 3rd goal that fired the whole team into a strong finish. When Robbo plays with confidence and positivity, getting right on the edge but not going over it, he's a star.

Robbo even gave Hannibal Lecter a few digs in the back there at the end!!. He gave him plenty of it into the back for 30 yards along the sideline. Nice to see that bit of grit come out after the few tackles Sideshow Bob put in.

Saw a few of those yesterday. Such as the turnover from Robertson reading the pass to Elanga that led to a counterattack and Mane's goal.
