Just downloaded this.

Seems to be set-up okay, but I have noticed one odd thing.

Gulasci is down as being 30.

Everyone's else age looks fine, it's just him. His birthday should be 6th May 1990, instead it's 17th June 1980.

That's strange, because he's the right age on mine.

Ive just got Jose Mourinho as assistant manager  ;D

Obviously he wasn't interested in the role so I offered him a months contract with £3m signing on fee for the fun of it and he took it the greedy bastard!

Edit: Gonna try get Kenny and Rafa in backroom roles too! ha ha

I started a new one with Barca (dont know why maybe I'm greedy) but first four games are all cup final competitions. Intercontinental cup, Spanish cupx2 and European Super cup. So before my team has kicked a ball in the league I've already brought three trophies to the club!

Think I may get bored of that one quickly!

Yeah, I did the same thing. The lack of gaps in the squad is an issue too, as there's hardly any room for genuine improvement, so you're basically not doing a great deal but sending out an already awesome team to simply win trophy after trophy!

I currently have saved games with Liverpool, Napoli, Ajax and AFC Liverpool.

True however, I felt they lacked depth in CB. I've got Agger coming in december. Problem with spanish league is that their deadline is a week into the game!

That's true, but I'm in my 3rd season now and my squad can't really be improved upon. My current project is signing loads of kids to try and "groom" for the first team so a huge transfer budget isn't really necessary! As it turns out Mourinho didn't leave after the month was up! It's been about 6 months and he's just happy with his rolling contract. I'm going to spend next summers budget on assembling the most high profile backroom team ever, which in turn should allow my kids to reach their full potential!

4-5 coaches- £3m each. Going for Kenny, Rafa, Guardiola and a couple of others! Might get owl face so I can sack him the next day too!

Great work on this guys. I remember trying to get it to work a year or two ago but with no luck. Somehow fluked the install last night!

Thought I'd go for a random league and work my way through them so currently working in Japan and cruising it.

Started off with an average team, decent in attack but terrible in defence so I brought in Sol Campbell [Free] and Nagamoto [825k - been amazing]. recently brought in Gary Hooper up front as my strikers were squandering all sorts hence my relatively average goals for total.

Amazing what you remember when you try!

Might've been mentioned somewhere else, but is there something odd about the 'Champions Cup/League'? It seems to have two group stages?

I was mightily pleased with getting out of a group with Marseille and Man City in with Shamrock Rovers, only to find myself plonked in another group with Man Utd and Shakhtar!

That's because that's what the format was back in 2001/02.

I'm into my third season with Liverpool now.

After winning the League in the first season, I was still having difficulty signing anyone decent. I had to bid massively over the odds to get clubs to accept, and the players would refuse to even discuss a contract.
So I went a bit mental, and ended up shelling out £33m for Messi, with a maxed out contract.
We're now the holders of the League, European Cup, League Cup, Community Shield, European Super Cup and Intercontinental Cup.

Youth's coming along nicely too, with 7 players in the England U-21 squad.

One issue I am having though - no one seems to want to take any of my players on loan. :(

I figured it must've been, but I've got no recollection of it whatsoever! Tried to tweak it but you can't amend existing competitions.

Didn't crash on any other saved files though.

So not sure what the error is.

Uh, someone's slightly peeved and having a go at me because I'm playing a lowly Dutch team and love fiddling tactics in CM.

I did go through the pm route rather than air any dirty laundry in public but as you know you gallantly reported me to a mod who has informed that was the wrong thing to do, so I thank you for inviting me to respond by bringing the matter up in this thread.

Firstly, I have absolutely no idea what 'fiddling with tactics' means nor entails. You're obviously so caught up in the apparent nefarious nature of it all that you thought I was having a pop because of it but I wasn't. You can therefore rest assured that I am not the pretend manager police that you seem to be ready in waiting for due to your tactic fiddling. As long as that's all you're fiddling with then I couldn't care less and as such my 'butt' is pain-free.

My argument was that you came into a thread that had precisely fuck all to do with you and had a go at me saying I was obsessed with Dirk. I responded by saying that based on your De Graafschapp shenanigans it seems that you'd spend more time in one night being a pretend manager than I have in my lifetime writing about Dirk, so to accuse me of having an obsessive nature was a bit rich. That was the one and only point I was making and due to you being unable to understand that basic premise you have completely got the wrong end of the stick.

If you're going to get your knickers in a twist at least be clued up enough to know what it is you're meant to be getting offended by. If nothing else though at least this has given you a warm up for when the real pretend manager police come for you. You'll need more than a mod to protect you when that happens...
