So I've taken FC Jazz from Finnish lower league obscurity to European Cup winners. It only took me 27 seasons.

Years of near misses had me a little peeved and I'd won the league at a canter since near the start so I took a hiatus and left the club in the capable hands of my right hand man Sergio Busquets and the rest of my coaching staff: Arjen Robben, Lucas Leiva, Guillermo Ochoa and Luka Modric.

We're all in our mid-fifties now and may not have the motivation to push for a 26th consecutive league title now that we've established FC Jazz as the most successful club in Finnish football history. That said, we're only 12 European Cups away from surpassing Real Madrid. By my calculation, if I continue to progress at this rate I'll have that within the next 324 seasons.

Why does this keep telling me to insert the disk to play it?

because it's a cd image, the original needed the disc in to start the game, once it was running you could take the disc out

you can either burn it to cd or use something like daemon tools to mount the image in a virtual drive

Got some good CM01/02 time in over my christmas holidays which was fun. Finally managed to win the premier league in my 11th season at Tranmere after 4 consecutive years in 2nd. Not been able to win the European cup though, nice to still have something to aim for i guess. My home attendances just wont grow beyond 19K (despite the stadium being at 21K) which is a pain..  I have to really work hard to keep the wage bill down.

Now this I'm interested in!

Fed up with the over analytical football manager games these days.

Used to spend literally days and days on this game and versions before it.

How do I do this? Can I play this without the disc, as I don't have one?

This has piqued my interest...while the game sounds fun in the respect that you can finish a season quickly and there's less fannying about with small details, how much control over results do you actually have if there's so little in it tactically?

download this and install it, run it and right click in the window where it says "image catalogue" and select the cm01/02 iso, it should appear in the image catalogue then right click on it and select mount, you should then be able to install it from the virtual drive, every time you play you'll need to mount the image as the game needs the disc whenever you start a new game or load a save

Just installed this and when I load the game up it tells me I haven't got enough system memory to create a game but I've got loads of memory. Anyone got any ideas?

Forgot about this thread and by sheer coincidence reloaded it on my Mac last night. Is absolutely amazing.

I have big plans for Sunderland.

Are you playing this via Bootcamp or have a Virtual desktop?  I've been looking for the mac version of this but it just doesn't appear to be available anywhere.

Downloaded it the other day and put the 20/21 data pack in. A few games into the second season, the story so far:

Started as the Reds, course we don't have any centre halves and the game doesn't recognise Fab or Hendo as any good, with Williams, Sepp and Phillips being too young. A pre-season knock to Matip led to Dayot Upamecano, Reece Oxford and Lucas Martínez Quarta coming in to see out the season.

Started off by winning the Charity Shield in a 1-0 smash-and-grab against Arsenal, but it just didn't click. My formation was:

        SM   RF   MS

          NK    TA
             Fab
AR     CH2*    DU    TAA
             AB

*The uninjured one out of Oxford, Quarta or Matip.

Wasn't conceding many (finished the season lowest GA) but just couldn't score for toffee. Was drawing at the dross (remind you of anything?) and spent Christmas in the bottom half.

Anyway, a few knocks to Fabinho led me to sign Harry Winks as a backup DMC in January - he's in the reserves now...

Season improved when I moved to...

              RF
    SM               MS
          NK    TA
             Fab
AR     CH2*    DU    TAA
             AB

...with Sadio and Mo coming in from the wings and started banging them in.

Won the League Cup v Forest in February, which was nice and sweet.

Got to the CL QFs and FA Cup semis where Man City (who won the domestic double) battered us both times. The CL run included (in the second group stage, remember that?) memorable hammerings of PSG home and away and a late 4-3 Bobby winner away at the Bernebeu. Imagine the Jamon Museum after that.

Going into the last game of the season we were unbeaten in 9 (8 wins) and could sneak into 6th with a win and 2 rivals losing. One of those rivals was Everton Football Club. Who lost 1-0 at home to Burnley to drop behind us, having been about 12 points clear at one point. Just imagine the fume. The following season they drew Napoli in the EL qualifiers and went out 4-0 on aggregate. I hope the ref diddled them as well.

Second summer I've shipped out Ox, Gini and Shaq as well as Origi, for whom League Champions Manchester City paid me £26.5m. To put that in perspective, the strange way in which the update has inflated fees means Mo is the benchmark at £45m, so I snapped Pep's hand off.

The Origi money was spent on Lucas Torreira as better DMC cover and Milinkovic-Savic to go next to Thiago/Naby in the midfield, as well as young striker Sam Greenwood from Leeds who scored a hattrick on debut v Shelbourne in the EL. One to look out for in real life?

Messi left Barcelona on a free and chose Atalanta over us...

Going to start integrating Elliott, Jones and van den Berg into the team this season too. Helps that we're usually 2 or 3 up on 65 mins. Elliott is slotting in seamlessly, the coaches love him.

Quadruple (EL version) incoming.

I've played a few of the database updates on the modern FMs and it's so funny when it all starts catching up to the real world.

Enjoyed reading that!
Maybe the group, led by your leadership, will see these drafts as PR functions and brilliant use of humor
