After the first season?

He got released on mine as well and I signed him for Ajax. My assistant manager said he'd never be good enough to get in my team ahead of Christian Eriksen though!

I wouldn't sign him for Liverpool though...did you?

The only player I've signed for Liverpool on the game is Wilfred Zaha from Crystal Palace, as a one for the future. Nobody will loan him though! That's something that annoys me about this game, the fact that it's so hard to shift players on loan. Flanagan went to Coventry and Toni Silva joined Vitoria Setubal, but I couldn't shift anyone else. Oh, I got Sterling out to Swansea actually!

I still fancy sorting out that online game.

I bumped Dortmund at the start SOLELY for him so i ended up payin around 3 mil for him. No chance of gettin him in the first season otherwise. Especially as ya only get 11 mil to start with if ya go Bayern.

Bristol City.

He was available in december in the first season, was released by united....and yes it was Liverpool which makes me feel so dirty.

He's doing alright to be fair, 2 games 1 assist and both 8 ratings.

Barca offered £13.25m for Gerrard, Tried to see who I could exchange him for but no one wanted to come so I refused it.

Arsenal are interested in him too, am a little bit tempted to swop him for Wilshere, but I dont know if I could EVER get rid of him!

Thinking of selling Carroll or Adam instead. Caroll hasnt scored a singled goal and I'm now into January. Any time Adam has played he doesnt get over 6 and has been critised alot by the media. I've defended him twice and he's still shite!

Yeah, Sterling becomes a good player on it. I tend to loan him out and wait until he's 19 or so before really starting to use him. He gets the odd run out in the Carling Cup in the first couple of years for me, along with Flanagan, Robinson, Ngoo, Coady and Morgan.

I'm going to work on the database some more at the weekend and then I shall upload it. It's a lot better than the one that's currently available for download - I've sorted out a lot of bits and pieces.

Adams went for 14.5mil, Johnson for 12, Gerrard still plays and is a Player / Assistant Manager - Signed Lukaku early on and he is a beast, other signings include Muller, Hazard and Walker.

Its a good game for people like me who have played FM and just dont have the time to tinker with every little detail and complete a season over a month!!

Well done to those who have brought this back from the dead, but a bigger well done to those who have taken the time out to update the database.

I am continuing to update it and will regularly chuck updates on here for download.

The version I have at home is quite different to the version currently available for download on here at the moment. I've done loads of changes of late and shall continue to do so - and I'll never think that it's right as I've always been a perfectionist with these databases. It's why I stopped playing it in the first place!

No idea what the issue is with that. Perhaps there is a corruption in the saved game file..?

If that is the case, you'll never be able to repair it.

I'll be uploading a new batch of data soon anyway.

Just started with the Geordies. Lost the opener abysmally to Everton. Then drew at Norwich. 2 wins on the bounce now since switching to 4-4-2. 7th in the table, onward!

Damn! I haven't lost since and only conceded 1 goal (against United, which I won). Played 8 games since.

Madrid signed Van Persie for £40m on mine, pressed continue and the next day it said:

"Van Persie injury shock, Robin Van Persie will be out for 11months"

Thought it was hilarious! Cruciate Ligaments if your wondering! Also won the league in 1st season with us in the best fashion possible, a 3-0 win over against Man Utd away. Decided to treat myself to splurging £25m on iniesta as a result... Got him, Gerrard, Henderson and Alonso (£5m!) in midfield. Currently top again in second year. Great fun!
