Not played this for a few weeks now I have FM2012.

May have to go back to it as my Ajax saved game was going well!

So City have just bid 18.5 mil for Lucas. I clicked the plus sign and randomly stopped it on 39.5 mil...

Further to that, Went Chelsea and got Torres for 10 mil. Scored 120 odd goals for me in his first full season too.

Also, whats with the refs names on this? Just random names, sure it used to have proper ones?

Downloaded this game a while ago and play it from magic ISO. Problem is just bought a new laptop and can't seem to move over my saved games to new laptop due to them being saved in ISO. Any help would be much appreciated.

This game is bullshit!! I've taken West Ham up, won the league every other year for 6 years running, won the league cup 4 out of 5 times and for some reason the FA Cup is fucked.

But hear this, Liverpool appointed DAVID MOYES. And we won fuck all for 5 years until he brought home the European Cup for a 6th time the little shit. I've been hoping to take on the Liverpool job for ages as the pinnacle of my career (7 seasons in and they rejected me when Kenny retired) and I've resorted to creating a new manager for Liverpool and retiring him, THREE TIMES, and EACH time Liverpool re-appoint David Moyes

FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Edit: 4 times. My last resort is to retire every manager in football and apply for Liverpool again or I'm going to have to kiss goodbye to all the stats I made up to the detriment of my Uni work to rejuvenate Liverpool and bring the league home

Ya downloaded Magiciso or anythin like that? If so, create a virtual drive then right click the Champ Man iso and choose mount image to.

magiciso is a horrible program. Virtual clone drive is a lot nicer and smaller etc

Been doing this again, played it all day at work (in a bar where it was empty all day but they needed me there)

Got home, and now on loading the game it says cm0102 not responding. So pissed off as I deffo saved it, should have regularly done other saved games, was looking forward to boosting the squad and taking on CL

I know the Champ Managers (Most of them) where class, but without sounding like a snide, why are people playing this when Football Manager has a much better engine?

Is it nostalgia purposes? Or am I missing something?

the simplicity of it, of course the new FM's have advanced engines, features et al.. but cm 01/02 is still a great game.

Yup just that, the simplicity. I find the new games far too in depth. Seemingly if you win the title kn the new ones you automatically beclme the font of all managerial knowledge.

It has taken me five seasons but I've finally won the Bundesliga ahead of Bayern on the updated database. They are nearly immaculate every season so a couple of dodgy results gives you no chance. The bastards have knocked me out of Europe three times, too. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I might just sleep tonight.

Next step: Retaining the title and leading Hertha Berlin to European glory.

Still the best management game ever made. I'm hooked and well on my way to an encyclopaedic knowledge of obscure Bundesliga footballers. Download at your peril.

Playing this with the database updated to April '15, absolutely love it's simplistic training and transfer system, loving it again just like I did 14 years ago, and it runs so smoothly by comparison haha.

Yep that website is a goldmine, has all the up to date data if you want, or just the base game.

I won the Swedish Premier with Djurgardens but Kallstrom wanted out after the final game of the season (which is Jan-Mar). I agreed to sell him for £6m which was insane money. I was in the UEFA Cup, but because I had no competitive games I got knocked out by AZ 4-2 on agg in the quarter finals - which in itself was amazing too. But I hopefully will defend my title and cup, and then have a go in the Champs League qualifiers.

Got some lovely promising Swedish players coming through too. I have set a rule to NEVER search via attributes, only search for players on the transfer list/free list that are in the famous bracket, and then only go via scouts.

My biggest transfer fee is £9,000 for a young Swedish midfielder from the 2nd div. Considering I got £6m for Kallstrom I think the board should knight me!
