An internet nitwit? I can assure you I'm not one of those. I'm a real person who sees real things.

I do apologise for wondering who Adams was (makes me think you've seen little of him) and making an off-the-cuff comment about a roll.

Now, answer the original question please?

Ha ha he he he he !

I am only saying these things L6, because you were saying how if Kenny were to get Adams and Lucas were to go then you wouldnt want Kenny as manager, and it would prove he was old and out of touch.

How you can say such a thing about Kenny is beyond me mate but you know best.

Ha Ha Ha!!!!

alonso-masch-stevie.   finishing every year one top 4,one season 2nd

lucas-masch-stevie.   7th last season

lucas-poulsen-stevie.   well, thanks to Kenny we are not going to second division

With Lucas an ever present, we are second under Kenny's management so where does that leave your argument?

Who is Adams and why is he being put in a roll?

I might get a lawn mower for a BBQ and my garden might look amazing but I'd be hungry at the same time.

So we get Adams (sic) for Lucas. Then what?

Then we buy another DM.

So we'd be swapping Lucas for another 'DM', not Adam?

If we sign Adam(Not Adams- who is Adams?) he will not be replacing Lucas.

Adam isn't an out and out DM player.

yes,M'Vila will replace Lucas

anyway stop talking about Lucas here this thread is about Spearing

Guys, exiledinyorkshire pointed out at page 21 that he wanted to swap Lucas for Adam and buy another DM to replace Lucas. He did not know at present who he would prefer but put down his preferences in a post.

Anyway, this is a Jay Spearing thread. Should we perhaps move the Lucas talk to another thread?

Had his best game for us on Sunday and probably a fair shout for MOTM. But the fact it's taken him so long to get to this stage, considering he's been with us, almost certainly means he's never going to be more than a back up.

I knows he's a red and all that but for his sake he would probably be better off at another club getting regular football. He's going to be 23 this year.

Well, he could just be a late bloomer but I agree with you. I wouldn't mind though to keep him around for another year or so. In the long run I think he will struggle considering the amount of talents in CM we have. Still, he has a red heart and a great work rate.

I think i probably agree with you there, maybe its a bit late for him to really forge a career here, but as back up the lads absolutely fine. School of thought is that Coady will be a better long term home grown option, but i'm not entirely convinced. Only time will tell, and its interesting to see how just hanging on in there actually gets you to the first team sometimes. People were saying good luck to jay and if the chance comes then he is going to have to take it with both hands, and he kind of is, the performance in the Derby and on sunday havent done him any harm. You just never know.

That would also work. But we don't own M'Villa which is why people always put Lucas in. Plus you do seem to have an anti-Lucas agenda.

Don't really get the 'he's done well but won't make it' argument. players do bloom late and look at this from a more optumistic point of view: if spearing can play that well in one of his first prem starts imagine what he could be like when he gets a run of games. yes he may not get that run but i think theres more potential there then he is given credit for.

I agree. There will be a place for hardworking, well motivated players in the squad. Spearing can probably become a good squadplayer for us if he gets an extended run in the team. Motivation and hardwork beats class quite often.
