After the disappointment of yesterday really enjoyed this game breath of fresh air these guys. We could go 5 points clear at the top. United are bottom.

How has that not gone in for Ings? The United lad did well there.

Absolutely. I just posted in the midfield thread, would love to see him get a chance in that DM position. He looked very assured there.

Grujic a level above everyone on the pitch which was encouraging and what you'd expect from a player on the fringes of the first team.

Masterson's got some serious ball playing skills however a bit unconvincing with his defending.

As posted in the match thread, I see no harm in giving Grujic a go this weekend. It'd shock me if he performed anywhere near as poorly as Can has been recently

Also, Wilson, what more can he do at this point, he's been above the u23 level for ages.

Excellent win. Good game management as well when United were on the up.

Grujic was calmness personified throughout the game, none of that temper or rashness. Good win and pleased for Harry to be again knocking on Klopp's door

Danny Ings has the Anfield curse. He will never score again until a Gypsy pisses in all four corners of Anfield.

Indeed. He's a fucking unit as well and we need a bit of presence in there. He can't do no worse than what is being served up already.

Absolutely. Neil Critchley actually said they played him there as Klopp wanted to see him work on his defensive game, so maybe he does see a opportunity there. As you say he can't be any worse then what we saw yesterday.

Sorry to be negative in such a positive thread, but he did get pushed off the ball at one point by Aurier I think it was who was about half his size at Wembley yesterday, so he will need a bit more aggression to go with his size, I think!

Anyway, I do like him as a player - actually think he's been unlucky with injury and non-selection after looking very impressive in preseason in 2016. Here's hoping!

Ejaria again stood out for me, along with Grujic. Like the diamond shape as an alternative to 433 and is easy to adapt in game. Played some lovely stuff in the midfield and Harry is a pure finisher. Still trying to find Ben's best position but the way he shrugged off a couple of tackles to put Ovie in was class and a cracking finish too
