Any good reason why on performances/form this season, this lad isn't the best left back in the league, if not one of the top LB's in Europe? In my eye, he's been absolutely outstanding and continually puts in good performances defending and attacking. Also extremely consistent, extremely fit.

His ball for Salah's first chance was so exquisite. Bassist of the season if Salah put that away. Imperious in defence once more and even with that Insigne chance he did enough to put him off. He is great.

How many goals has he assisted for us with those deadly cutbacks and crosses from the left flank since he joined us? Some of the crosses or cutbacks that he lays on are almost impossible to defend against.

He’s improved further this season. A very complete player to begin with, and I believe his composure and quality on the ball is even better now than last year. He’s a great passer out from defence and very important in our build up.
