I don't know about anyone else, but I find myself not watching the premier league and Liverpool quite as much as I once did. I don't know, it's just not very compelling when you break it all down, is it?
I was of this view a month ago when we were top of the league and I am the same now at 3rd place. Skysports and their fan punditry are loving it and bigging up the '3 horse title race' ofcourse, but it's just not all that in my view.
It's difficult to enjoy when there are so so many questionable decisions that don't even look remotely close to being correct. I saw the replays of the Forest penalties, the Man City FA Handball and the Coventry offside. How can it be?
Add on top of that Arsenal, who are a genuine club albeit, but the Emirates atmosphere is so corporate and flat at the best of times it's untrue. Then you have Man City who are....welll..Man city. The Etihad, a place, where people clap goals and seemingly a second option for international university students who were unsure what to do that night. It was just never supposed to be this way. I almost feel embarassed watching football and the Premier League in it's current form
