Didn't cover their arse this season though, so whilst they don't have any inside information, they don't act for no reason.

Maybe a few bets were made? If the odds are 2000/1, it won't take that much money to shorten the odds.

Come on. It's arse covering from bookies, it's what they're best at. They're favourites to win the league too in the bookies

They should go to the bottom. But I'd love to see them in the Championship too just for a season before they do for the craic. All the big stars stay to show "loyalty". 2 games a week. No VAR. No one standing off them letting they play their fancy football. Nice wee easy game at Millwall on a Friday night

No chance it will just be a points deduction. The severity of the charges will mean relegation is the minimum punishment if upheld.

As others have said. I think it would be meaningless to relegate them to the championship and would be incredibly unfair on the other championship clubs who would have to attempt to compete with them as many of their squad would likely stay as an act of 'solidarity'.

Juventus and Rangers were both relegated to the bottom division in their respected countries when they were guilty of severely breaking the rules.

City should be the same & their owners should be forced to sell.

Juventus were not relegated to the bottom division.

That line is what we should make our sponsors aware of. They should up their offer.

Because there was no reason to cover their arses this season. It's not a secret there won't be any outcome until next season at the earliest.

115 charges, relegate them to the lowest tier, 20th tier, Lancashire and Cheshire amateur league division C. There they can play against Oldham's Sublime Athletic FC, surely Pep's ultimate dream.

That's what I think Terry. As a liverpool fan I don`t want the trophies that would have been ours, and I suspect most of us feel that way. Tarnish them for a generation, chuck them out of the football league and leave them to it.

I've said this before, but while it won't matter to us, the players I reckon would love the winners medals they deserve. Suarez, Gerrard and Carra get to get a PL winners medal, Jurgen gets a few more PL's, the Champions wall gets updated etc etc

Don’t think Carra gets one, he retired the end of 12/13 I thought. But on the point in general I think the clubs and players should get the recognition as the Champions they would have been if not for being cheated out of it

Whenever you enter a competition there are always terms and conditions - rules you have to abide by to take part. If you don't like the rules then don't enter. There should be no ifs, buts or maybes and the Premier League have made a rod for their own backs by either issuing rules that are not clear or for which the punishments are vague or by looking the other way when clearly specified rules have been broken. If City, Everton, Chelsea, Forest or whoever don't like those rules, then s*d off and play your football elsewhere.

Fuck sake, here we go with the bookies thing again  :butt

They know absolutely nothing. The case hasn't even been heard yet  :butt

They're covering their arses with the price of relegation, not because they've been given inside information.

Thinking that myself - charges get heard this Autumn, decision winter/early spring. No bookie is going to give 2500/1 on them getting relegated, they'd get their arses handed to them if they actually did go down for this.

But a state owns them, and an "ally", so of course politics will play a part. State ownership, influence or control of clubs should be banned.

Wait, I thought they weren’t technically state owned.

Like the way Newcastle aren’t.

It's like having a team other than us being cheated out of it, especially a media darling like Arsenal, has tipped the scales..

As myself, Rob and a few others have been saying the past few months. It was obvious what would happen when it wasn't City "saving football" from the Scousers.

I think if I was a player, a medal would feel nice to have but it'd feel very empty. Those medals should have come with a huge parade, massive celebrations inside Anfield, social media going crazy, the LFC brand becoming even bigger than it is, more prize money, player bonuses etc.

Arsenal have now been robbed of that for two years running, no wonder the 115 charges is getting more attention.

I dunno, mate if it was me, I'd want my medal. I'd want my name in history books as a Premier League winner. I imagine Brendan Rodgers wants to consider himself a Premier League winner and put it on his CV.

I'd always want what's rightfully mine.

There’s no way they’re getting properly punished.

There’s no way they’re losing any titles.

This won’t be decided by any tribunal, independent or otherwise. it’ll be grubby little behind closed doors deals at the very highest level.

They’ve got too much money, influence and power, and they basically own the fucking British “establishment”.

It’ll be a £50m fine, ten points off, and a “now never do that again boys”.

Then that’ll all get halved on appeal, and justice will be served.

Yep, as I've said, us, Utd and to an extent Arsenal hold the power in this league. The American owners won't be happy with it and Radcliffe won't like his chances of squirelling more tax free money away diminished.

If they’re not punished severely then it’s up to the fans to boycott every game involving them. I believe that is the only way.

I don't think The american owners at utd or us, and many other owners would care about City having titles stripped from 10 yrs ago, it won't affect our bottom line.

I doubt if they would want a punishment that damages the premier league brand, as that threatens our bottom line.  City are growing in their international stature, they are nowhere near us , arsenal or man U, but are probably bigger overseas than spurs or chelsea, so the owners might even think city being thrown out of the league might slightly damage TV viewership somewhat

A punishment that stops them from dominating going forwards, would be all they would likely care about

I don’t think any respected analyst would suggest City being thrown out would damage the brand or Liverpool’s bottom line. The brand is being damaged currently by their cheating, just look at how everyone views the title wins. They’re meaningless. A competitive and fair league is far more of a big earner than an uncompetitive league warped by nation states.

Exactly. ADFC/115 dominating makes the league boring and that turns viewers off. Americans also do not like losing at anything, I've never seen anyone take Karaoke as serious as Americans I saw in Orlando for example. FSG like winning, they want LFC to win, like they want the RedSox to win, because Americans love winners and the American market can make them a fortune. Radcliffe wants to amke money and he will not do that while the "noisy neighbours" dominate. If Abu Dhabi gets away with this, not only will they carry on, Saudi Arabia will start their campaign and if we think City is bad, just wait til they start spending the billions they have put aside.

Hard to imagine a team wins 4 in a row and then is thrown out of the competition and this doesn't damage the league, to some degree. I hope it happens, but I assume Cycling took a hit when lance armstrong was found to be cheating, even though the cases are different.  I suspect our owners would prefer some sort of action that stops FUTURE cheating first and foremost, if city offered some sort of openbook, greater transparacy financially our owners and utd's would be more than happy.  They won't quit and join some super league, like some are suggesting, if city aren't relegated, they might actively prefer if they weren't relegated

The level of delusion in here about them getting point deductions is ridiculous. It's never going to happen.

If it doesn’t then the PL are going to look incredibly stupid for starting proceedings and then not seeing them through, and they can’t dock Everton and Notts Forest points and give City a lesser punishment, as I said yesterday the PL have now gone well past the point of no return.
Thinking is overrated.
The mind is a tool, it's not meant to be used that much.
Rest, love, observe. Laugh.

If they’re not punished severely then it’s up to the fans to boycott every game involving them. I believe that is the only way.
That's not a bad idea really because;
a) they are shit to watchb) who wants to see your team beaten by a machine
It's a waste of money for other teams fans turning up to watch City, it would be great to see them play in an quiet, empty stadium although they would not find it unusual

I've said this before, but while it won't matter to us, the players I reckon would love the winners medals they deserve. Suarez, Gerrard and Carra get to get a PL winners medal, Jurgen gets a few more PL's, the Champions wall gets updated etc etc

Don't forget Jose Enrique and even Peter Crouch... ;)

Carra should say on tv ‘As far as I’m concerned I won the league in etc etc’ then state why.
