Very true. Theo Walcott as a prime example. When "wonderkids" know there is a big offer on the table for them, they rarely will ever be fine with waiting it out until the next window. Even though Liverpool was apparently his preference, he couldn't resist the Gunners huge offer in that Winter window. Ain't no chance in hell Lavia is going to wait. The only way I see us losing out on this is if another top tier club in desperate need of a 6 comes in offering a better package, which is what Southampton have been hoping for, but I think even that ship has sailed.

Gakpo our Jude, mate. Gonna take off this season. Can play anywhere and influence the game. I think we walked when we found out the wages Jude was wanting. All the best. Jurgen has big plans for Cody. He's got everything Bellingham's got and more...goals. Regarding a DM, it's clear we are getting one though this Lavia saga has been frustrating - can't see the logic of dragging it out so publicly - and I still believe we'll get another defender.

I can't for the world of me understand why you would let Henderson go for peanuts given his value to the team - leadership, talisman, captain - without having a decent replacement in line. Fabinho I can understand, he was poor last season and it seems like a good deal, but both him and Hendo (plus Milner), it just doesn't make any sense.

We have no natural 6 if Thiago is injured. We don't have right back cover (if you argue Gomez, we don't have CB cover). It doesn't make any sense.

If we would play 4-2-3-1 weather that's likely or not, then we'd be okay for midfielders but short on wingers.

It doesn't add up.

Lets hope so, I doubt he would go to the Chelsea match but he may well be on the bench, in theory he is perhaps a week ahead of our players fitness wise, just his role in our formation he will have to learn , Luckily we have Mac Allister who can play DM to a very high Standard (i believe he once said it was his favourite position) , Just not sure its a waste of his talent further forward, but should we use Gakpo or Jones in the Mac position for now we should be ok, I would like to see Diaz in the Mid (8/10) aswell at some stage and Gakpo or Nunez as Left Forward but too many changes may cause problems , though Diaz's lack of goals would not matter if we used him as a left centre mid, hopefully though Lavia is done tomoz and we look at Pavard/Inacio/Lukeba etc (pref 2 of them), then go get Andre in the winter.

Then we will be almost ready to start another big summer next season, where we will see Thiago, Matip, maybe VVD, Salah and Robbo all needing replaced or deputies in thier places .

Feel like the plan keep Salah going well, see Doak progress. it feels like the most play it by ear position considering Elliott could cover too in more of a playmaking role.
