And therein lies their biggest problem. If they go down, it'll be due to the lack of goals.

This is the year they go down. They’ve got no goals in them. Last year they at least had Richy La to bail them out.

It’s not a new manager bounce, more a ‘dead cat bounce’.

They where so lucky that yet again, they got a ref favouring them - one who lost his sodding cards. Should have been about 4 of them booked first half.

That Tarkowski is a yarddog, as is Coady, what a pairing.

Hard to see where they will get goals from, if they don’t beat Leeds, then I’ll start to believe.

Coady is so slow they can't afford to step up and Tarkowski can't pass water. They can beat their chest and be snide and that's all they want at Everton.

Can't see them avoiding the drop to be honest. Look at their squad without any bias and it's absolutely rubbish, easily amongst the worst 3 in the league. They've now added a championship level manager into that equation who's tactics are outdated and stale.

Said it when they appointed him but Dyche will be gone by the end of March as they panic.

Not signing a single attacking player is what will send them, they’ve got nothing. Not even someone that can come up with a moment of magic.

Dyche obviously don’t rate Mopey. Calvert Lewin is crocked again, Sims getting the nod is very telling.

A lot may depend on who Southampton and Leeds appoint.

Let’s say for now Southampton are down and Bournemouth may join them…would you back Everton to finish above the rest? Not sure I would at this point. Leeds have more about them. Wolves are clearly going to be ok. Forest seem to have enough about them now. Who else is there?

Used to watch that youth team and him and the other lad in the midfield (Roddan I think in a 4231) were the weak part of that side, no technique at all, I don't know how he made it to reserve team level as a centre mid. That team did have the likes of Suso, Sterling, Flanagan, Robinson, Wisdom, Morgan in it.

The hope was he could replicate Carragher who was hardly technically brilliant himself but the game had moved on at the top level. Even at Wolves though a couple of years back people (including Carragher) were calling for Liverpool to sign him back when we had defensive injuries.

It's whether there's 3 worse again.

Bournemouth and Southampton are basically the Norwich and Watford of last season - replacing shit managers with shit managers, even if they signed a few players in Jan. They both look likely to drop.

Then there's Leeds who can't buy a win and have just sacked their manager. Everton play them next, huge game.

Dyche isn't a divvy. They'll do the same to Leeds and look for set piece goals.

They'll stay up by at most three points..

Bournemouth at home on the last day of the season..
Leeds at home to spurs and Southampton at home to us.

We know how it ends. I'm absolutely certain they are not going down and that's why I'll continue to back them to stay up

They’ll grind out enough results against the other fodder to stay up, just.

Remarkable statement considering a couple of years ago Don Carlo’s Birra Moretti Blues were storming up the league with Hamezzz nailed on for the ballon d’or and the tricky blues set for a treble of League, no derby defeat  and iTunes number 1.

Everton have rolled their dice and its come up Dyche, Southampton and Leeds just about to roll theirs and we may even see Bournemouth have another go yet.

Once they go behind they struggle as they have, at most, 1 goal a game in them (like Burnley)

There was a fine margin tonight, despite the performance, if that header had gone in they would have bricked up the wall.

I think their season rests on the Leeds game, if Leeds score, Everton are in big trouble this season.

They were completely absent in the last third of of the pitch, except for set pieces and flashes from Iwobi who had no-one to pass to (that includes Davies who missed that headed sitter)

Dyche;

"They smothered us with possession, probably we could have given away a tactical foul to break it up" that says it all about how they will play this year, percentages and tactical fouls in the hope they can snatch wins and draws

I posted this so many times last season but I have to mention it once more. I can’t get over how bad you have to be to get relegated. I have never seen an Everton team this poor, and yet they’re still only just in the bottom three. With two home games to come next.
