Don't forget that Chelsea lost to Sunderland the week before beating us in 2014. Anything can happen and it's funny how often things like this tend to even out.
if I came home to allison in bed with my wife I'd ask him to phone Virgil to see if he wanted to pop round too.

we just need to beat Cardiff and see what happens.

A sending off or dodgy goal can change a match (though the same could happen to us). We just need to do our bit.

Barca, Bayern, and City already had the best squads in their leagues when he arrived, and then he had the greatest spending power too. I'm not saying the guy's a fraud, nor did I suggest he was lucky. He has improved the teams he's gone to. I do think it'd be interesting to see how well he would do at a team that are not in the position that these three were in when he arrived though. Do you reckon he could have gone to Dortmund instead of Bayern and won the Bundesliga? What about if he'd gone to Arsenal instead of City? Would he have this Newcastle team in 12th? Until he does something along these lines then I'll be filing him in the flat-track bully drawer.

Even Pep himself admits he only wins as much as he does because he has the best players.

But as a coach, getting players to buy in to his style, to trust it, and getting on the training pitch with them and getting them to understand it and to go through the endless reps to perfect it? He's a top class coach for that. If he went to any lesser team, he'd probably stop winning trophies, but he'd still have his teams playing the same style.

So what's your point? My point is that 95-100 points is the standard to win the league for us as long as Pep is manager of City.  Weather you think he is a great a manager or not is a side point.

So now Man Utd MUST beat City to stay in content for the top 4. If Palace could beat City then why not United. I'm not giving up on the idea yet.

We’re not relying on United

We’re firstly relying on ourselves winning our games and we’re then hoping one of the FOUR teams they’ve got left to play manage to take a point or three off them.

Fair enough, however I was assuming United away would realistically be the most difficult game they had left.

After today I am not so sure, and yes we need to win all our games.

Fucking hell - Utd will get absolutely annihilated Wednesday! 😂

That was as gutless a performance form them as I’ve seen from any side.

Anyway, win this and see what happens. Was always the way and nothing changed

No chance United get anything other than a spanking on Wednesday. The players have once again downed tools and it looks as though they've given up with Solskjaer already.

It's a derby at Old Trafford - anything can happen. The club, manager, players and fans will be expecting a reaction on Wednesday - especially as top 4 is all they have to aim for. One result is never a predictor of the next game in this league, no matter how bad Utd were today.

United are fucking shite and it's only because the others aren't much better that they have a chance for 4th.They'll need help from the refs to get anything out of the game against City. The players already want Solskjaer gone.

Do you lump palace and Leicester together, away from utd because they are decent? Or just managed by our ex managers?

Really all it takes is one lucky bounce. That morrisson header should have made it 1-1.  We also had to scrap out results against teams at the bottom recently. Burnley, Leicester and Brighton may not have City's quality, but they can make life difficult especially if City are not up for a scrap. All we can do is keep on winning. Utd have the talent to take points off city, but are they willing to scrap and make life diifficult for City?
