Will Clyne get a winners medal if he is Loan out? This is hell of a time to be at LFC. I am sure many will want to stick around and help the team to achieve history and also a rare medal to be Super proud of.

Is there any way we can knock the Clyne whinging on the head, at least for this thread? Pretty annoying to see five pages of ‘injury updates’ getting rinsed off full of ‘why did we loan Clyne  :no

They'll only find something else to start bitching about. I mean if you can't get behind Klopp and trust the decisions he's making at such a pivotal time then when can you?

NEVER! I think it's only right to question Klopp and FSG (who clearly are trying to pocket a loan fee for Clyne)......oh sorry was channeling Al555

OK, that's enough about Clyne. The title of the thread is pretty clear. Current injury updates, not transfer speculation / discussion.

Great news.

Can't wait to see him back.

I find that hard to believe.

The guy’s a model pro and has clearly put in the work. Let’s hope it’s true. I’m sure nobody at Liverpool will be rushing him back early against medical advice

The trouble ox has is that his strength was his explosive pace and power and we've certainly missed that a bit this year. Especially in the away games against the big teams. We saw how good he was last year in important games.

I just don't think he will be same player. I really hope I'm wrong. Next year I think we should ease him back into it.
Thank Fowler we're not getting Caulker

Ox back late Feb or early March.

Earliest Ox would be available would be April based on the reporting.  And he'll need time to get up to speed.  He could prove pivotal to the run in, but on the other hand it might more be a case of him just securing match fitness.

Let's hope he can hit the ground running.  His dedication and sheer will alone shows he could very well become crucial to us.

I’m sure they won’t rush him back. His early return to training is a testament to him though. He will know there’s a chance he won’t be the same, so to show the motivation and drive that he has in his recovery is a huge credit to him.

It's as much about giving the players a buzz in having Alex around them again. He's very popular whether he get's to play or not this season that in itself will be a positive. Klopp has already said they won't rush him back, which considering what he's been through is sensible.

Even if he just returns to full training that will be a big deal for him and a boost for the squad in general.  Unless we get stacked with injuries to our midfielders though then I don't see him playing again this season, we already have Keita and Lallana frequently on the bench.

If he could go from now until August without any serious relapses and be in top condition for the start of next season that would be a result!

I'd be happy for Ox if he just gets back to training and has a good preseason in the summer. Everything else is a bonus.

AOC is definately the type of player that would be most impacted by that injury. One thing that gives me hope is that even over the last 10 years the number of players in various sports who seem to be making 100% recovery from bad knee injuries seems to be higher. Even Joe Gomez - I know his injury was a little less severe than AOC's but could anyone imagine Gomez being as good physically as he has been this season? Speed & strength.

Has anyone mentioned that it was foolish to loan out Clyne  ;)
