It is nuts, they are terrified of us catching them on 20, which if we win this season, will probably happen by 2021, City won't get to 20 til 2035, thats if they ever actually do it, so they can't see the big picture of us stopping City doing the quad by winning the league, a single European Cup win for City doesn't bother them.
