Could guess this was going to be by Jamie Jackson. Goes fir a classic where he says if you take out games they lost they're unbeaten since October.
and the constant reference to 9 wins in a row. Its 6 in the league, not 9, so hes happy to include cup games to big them up but ignores the europa defeat when it gets in the way of a positive statistic. Its sheer spin. Who gives a fuck they beat zorya (?) in the europa or reading in the cup?

Hope the lads get back to basics tomorrow and make sure they pass & move, pass & move......last couple of games we took the wrong option a little too often where you saw players trying to dribble their way out of trouble and just went down dead ends OR were taking on pot shots from outside the box. Patience, keep possession, don't pull the trigger on a hit & hope chance when others are available. Just get back to good decisions at the right time, pressure when it looks on and keep the silliness to the minimum. We can go there and show them who's boss as clearly the better footballing side. Mourinho may try to mug us with a Fellani special, honestly that seems to be his style anyway as his football is more Wimbledon than Ajax using a big man up front trying to kick his way to the points. Its god awful football to look at as it even stagnates any talent ...the likes of Robben, Hazard & Co went backwards under his management...he has in the team where skill is buried under shyte tactics. For once everyone agrees....Utd, shyte, Utd, shyte, Utd, shyte

I have a simple philosophy: Fill what's empty. Empty what's full. Scratch where it itches. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zi5-V75v-6I

Danny Murphy believes Man Utd have the best attack in the premier league. ::) This is the same Man Utd who have scored 31 goals compared to Liverpool's 48. And in fact scored less goals than all 5 teams above them.

With the biggest respect who the hell takes anything Murphy says seriously?

It was a bullshit question, no one knows that.

How many bricks make up the Kop? Please tell me mate. How many bricks.

It's a famous piece of history about our club.

This game isnt as vital as people think.

It's pretty big. It's not just about the points on the day. It's the psychological edge/damage it could give/do to both teams for the remainder of the season.

This game isnt as vital as people think.

It's bigger for them. If they beat us they'll take absolutely massive confidence into the 2nd half of the season.

A draw is a decent result for us, considering out little patch of poor form (performances mainly).

It'lll be a marker for them to look at and it'll put them right on our arse. It's a big game.

In fact in terms of the context of our games between the two clubs I'd say this is one of the biggest in 10 years. Usually they mean nothing more than bragging rights whereas this tie has genuine meaning in the title race and top 4.

Its quite clear that out of all the managers we have had in a long time that Klopp's side wouldnt get so damaged by a loss. Plus after this we have 10 games at home and just the 8 away, with only City and West Brom in the top 10 to visit away. Plus no Europe and some key players returning.

Everything is set up for us. Of course we need a Chelsea slow down but that was needed anyway.

I think it is important to develop a hoodoo factor over Man U with their new manager. It's good to develop those kinds of patterns against mid table clubs.

A short quiz on Manchester United v Liverpool to test your knowledge http://intothemreds.com/at-the-back/manchester-united-v-liverpool-quiz/

9/10. Also there's a slight mistake - the last player to score twice in a LFC v Man Utd fixture was not Steven Gerrard - not giving the answer away as that would perhaps spoil it.

Too many people losing their balls over this game. We've been away to Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs and Everton so far this season and put in fantastic accounts of ourselves.

Tomorrow will be no different. Let's impose ourselves on them and win the football match - we've done it to better teams already.

A draw wouldn't be a bad result. They need a win though.but I think we'll win. We haven't played poorly against any of the top teams in fact we've dominated most matches.

Sturridge no longer possesses that rapid pace over the first 20 yards. That electric pace used to take him clear of defences and obviously his finishing is top quality.

I'm not sure if the pace is completely gone or whether he's playing within himself through fear is pulling up. But it's noticeable.

Sturridge is replaceable as a first XI player but as a squad player we couldn't ask for better. The problem with Liverpool however is unlike the really top clubs, we would never pay those wages for a guy whose going to be a reserve. We ship them out and gamble on the next guy we sign to be like for like.

And we cannot compete for the best players. The PR thrown out about not getting involved in bidding wars, and taking the moral high ground when big wages are being sought (ala Draxler) is a load of guff. Sure it's admirable when dealing with kids but it's par for the course that game changing players cost big money and command big wages. It's all well and good taking the stand and seeing them join United, Chelsea or City.

Making stars rather than buying is supposedly Klopps philosophy, but if you flog them once they are world class then you are no more than a feeder club, don't talk like you are a high roller. The problem being Liverpool see themselves that way

This game isnt as vital as people think.

It certainly won't define our season, but it's the team we hate the most, with the fans we hate the most, and the manager we (well me, anyway) hate the most. That alone makes it huge. Given their run of form and that a win at their place would break their stride only adds to the importance - a 2 point gap or an 8 point gap by 6pm tomorrow is a significant swing. We also keep the pressure on Chelsea and can leapfrog Spurs into second place, cementing our hold on the top 4 more firmly. It's a massive game.
I've got OCD, but I prefer to call it CDO so it's in alphabetical order.

Well of course we want to beat Man Utd because it means a lot to us but nothing will be won or lost tomorrow. Best place to be tomorrow 6pm is two points behind Chelsea and 6/7 points ahead of fifth. Worst case we're in fifth seven points off the top. Objectively it's not a particularly big game, it's just we all want to beat them more than most other teams.

I think in the context of the season if we at least match the  result Chelsea get then it will not be a disaster whatever the result
