It's the remix to the ignition
The Daniel Sturridge edition
If he's not rolling his ankle
Then he's got a thigh condition

Is he fit for Sunday?
Let's be honest, no way,
Keep him in physio,
Then maybe he'll be fit someday.

God I'm a lyrical genius.

Hahaha!  ;D

Sturridge has had a song for ages, but it only contains the words 'Daniel' and 'Sturridge' and therefore isn't good enough. Kenny, Fowler and Hyypia to name but a few must have been gutted with their songs.

I can imagine sami and Robbie in the changies after hearing the KOP roar their name then say to each other  "yea, but its not catchy though is it?"

this is a bad weapon thread sing his name and clap... its better than all these cringey efforts,,, grown men sitting round thinking of songs  CRINGE!!!!

at the minute theres fuck all

Time to discover what Dan is about

Here comes the studger

Has to be to this tune for me. PLEASE somebody come up with some decent lyrics. The Colin Pascoe one is shit in my opinion but the tune could be unbelievable on the KOP after a goal is scored. Has the potential to be brilliant and get everyone rocking which is something we don't have from any song now Suarez & Torres left.

I see the mighty reds arising
I see a trophy on the way
I see our man Daniel Sturridge
I see lots of goals today

Daniel is the man
Well, he's going to score a goal
The mighty reds are on the rise again

Daniel is the man
Well, he's going to score a goal
The mighty reds are on the rise again

I hear the Kopites singing
I know a goal is coming soon
They all fear Daniel Sturridge
He makes us feel over the moon

Daniel is the man
Well, he's going to score a goal
The mighty reds are on the rise again

Daniel is the man
Well. he's going to score a goal
The mighty reds are on the rise again

I agree with this. The Colin Pascoe tune is golden, gets stuck in my head for days. A Sturridge song to this tune would be absolutely class.

the first verse is a little different in the pub I go when I visit, it goes:

Passing defenders as he slots it in the net

Good tune, but bit hard to imagine the whole song going through in a game - in the boozer why not

Is it that much longer than the Torres song ? Which is by far the best song we've had since I've been going.

I think this is great, there are bits everyone can join in straight away and hopefully will pick up when people grasp the words.

Our Man, his name is Daniel Sturridge
His Uncle, he used to play like that
But Danny, hes clearly much much better
And everyone concedes that that's a fact

when Sturridge shoots it on the net
theres only one result you get
Dannys dancing and (Aston Villa) (Mouhrino's) quite upset.
when Sturridge shoots it on the net
there's only one result you get
Danny's dancing and Mouhrinos's quite upset

Repeat. Needs work but it fits your rythm

OK, some nice simple easy to remember lyrics to this tune (ala the Colin Pascoe song).

Ohhhhh, his name is Daniel Sturridge
Dan's the man who dances when he scores.
He bags a brace and we go fucking mental.
C'mon Danny you can score one more (alternative: Danny is the man that we adore)

Sounds like it would hurt more than one of his injuries.

fuck you, fuck, you must go and die.

still working on the 2nd 3rd and 4th verses, but think this will work for now as an abridged version

To the tune of oh danny boy if yer dint know already :)

Yes, I think "Pass to Sturridge on the left hand side" is the clear winner (and has been for some time - though I think some versions of "dances when he scores" are close). Time to make concrete plans to make it happen. No more dithering about.
