The thought of rehashing a song is cheesy I'll admit, but I mis Maxi's tune so fucking bad, it was one of my favourites. Used to get stuck in my head.

Danny,
Oh Danny Sturridge,
He scores a goal for me.

Dada da da da
Dada da da da
Dada da da da
Dada da da da

heard it as well in the Park before west brom, a really good one, but for the crowd to sing it until all the way to the end in a match is kind of hard to imagine, but a brilliant one and catchy
This. I can see people stopping half way through. Long ass song  :duh

Tune
Everyday [Buddy Holly]

Words

Daniel Sturridge

Scores a goal and dances

Every time

We give him the chances

Then he smiles

And talks to someone in the sky

 :)

Posted in the Daniel Sturridge thread aswell, not seen this on here before sorry for the double post just think the lad really deserves something !

Wouldn't mind this one taking off. When we did it with Torres I thought it was one of the better ones for getting the crowd going. Can't beat a good bounce!

Right, here goes.....

I've chosen a song that was No1 the week Daniel was born.
Is considered by some as an early sign of Dance Music flooding the mainstream charts (we all know Daniel loves a dance!)
Has a "bounce" section for all the new wave fans who feel it's necessary.
Has a "chant" section for all the old head fans who feel it's tradition.
Has a lyrical section to give the man the respect his ability deserves.

The song is by Black Box,it's called "Ride on Time"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igJJi34b4dQ

For those of you who know the song, this may become apparent, for those who don't check out the youtube link.

Taking the section from 1:50 when the lyric goes "Let me tell you..."
we insert..........

"Daniel Sturridge,Daniel Sturridge,
Scores again, scores again, scores again for me,
He's such a goal sensation,
He justs bangs them in,bangs, bangs, bangs, them in"

(then the bounce part to the piano riff)
Do-Do-Do-Do-Do-Do-Di-Do-Di-Do-Di      (you get the gist)

(then the "chant" part to the ooh oohs)
Sturridge,Sturridge
Sturridge,Sturridge

(Back into the "bounce")

(Back to the start)

Repeat Repeat Repeat!

Feel free to laugh, joke, rip the proverbial or if you dare, amend whats there & try enhance it!

But i think we'll all agree,he deserves a belter of a song/chant to back up his ability.
The sooner the better we get one going!  :wave

I've said this for Sterling too, but could we get the Maxi Rodriguez song back alive with Danny Sturridge?

Danny, Danny Sturridge... Score a goal for me!
Do do do do do, do do do do do!

Or

Danny, Danny Sturridge... Do that dance for me!
Do do do do do, do do do do do!

You get the picture.
Still remember that being sung at Craven Cottage all night a few years back.

Fastest to 50 goals for Liverpool since the fucking 1800s and still this. Some people....

Mate as if a red would truely say that..I was trying to be ironic but clearly failed. I even got a warning!!

Still not the first time I ve been convicted without a fair trial!

Cause the lad needs a decent song. Some names are just harder to get a boss one to catch on. Think carra s took about 5 years in the making and wasn't it his dad who penned it in the end??  Not sure about pass to the left hand side and with  songs like most things in life...If there s doubt...there's no doubt!! Back to the drawing board...

There's only one Daniel sturridge
One Daniel sturridge

It took us too long to find him a song

But he scores then he shows us how to dance       (or, he always scores then he shows us how to dance)

I've always liked this one, rip off of Torres or not.

Don't feel comfortable at all with a song for one of our players having a line about Chelsea being rentboys, seems small time and obsessive to me.

Pass the duchie!!!!

Football songs that take off tend to have a very simple almost nursery rhyme type tune which makes them very easy to sing.

Pass the dutchie is not an easy tune to sing and would sound a bit crap.

I like the suggestion of re-suing Maxi’s old song.

@ingrammitchell: Won't be long until we're singing this Daniel Sturridge new song (Lyrics): http://t.co/5vllwbeb9K @_Jess_Rabbit  @D_Sturridge

The wah diddy dum diddy do song..

It is a good song however can't see it properly taking off. Pity we couldn't of use Sturrudges name in the Pascoe tune as that tune is perfect

I was going to suggest 'Daniel Sturridge scores our goals' (Michael Owen's old one). I've only just discovered that it's to the tune of, 'Michael rowed the boat ashore, hallelujah'. Can't use that obviously, but very clever, fair play.
