The thought of rehashing a song is cheesy I'll admit, but I mis Maxi's tune so fucking bad, it was one of my favourites. Used to get stuck in my head.

Wouldn't mind this one taking off. When we did it with Torres I thought it was one of the better ones for getting the crowd going. Can't beat a good bounce!

Right, here goes.....

I've chosen a song that was No1 the week Daniel was born.
Is considered by some as an early sign of Dance Music flooding the mainstream charts (we all know Daniel loves a dance!)
Has a "bounce" section for all the new wave fans who feel it's necessary.
Has a "chant" section for all the old head fans who feel it's tradition.
Has a lyrical section to give the man the respect his ability deserves.

The song is by Black Box,it's called "Ride on Time"

Football songs that take off tend to have a very simple almost nursery rhyme type tune which makes them very easy to sing.

Pass the dutchie is not an easy tune to sing and would sound a bit crap.

I like the suggestion of re-suing Maxi’s old song.

Funny as fuck that. Kudos for the effort, but it's so wrong it hurts. I don't think the Kop has the pipes for it either, the woman proper belts it out RIDE on time RI-Ri-RIDE ON TIME.
