We have this anonymous submission from a young gentleman who's restricting his time on here so he doesn't post every hour and get nothing done. Occasional make model with a sequel I think in cinemas :)

Danny Sturridge gets the ball on the wing
singin' do-the Sturridge-Danny doo Danny-do
Scores a goal and makes the Kop do its ting
singin' do-the Sturridge-Danny doo Danny-do

We all know, WE ALL KNOW
He scores goals, HE SCORES GOALS
We all know, he scores goals
He's got the magic in his toes

Danny Sturridge gets the ball on his left
singin' do-the Sturridge-Danny doo Danny-do
The Kop goes wild as he puts it in the net
singin' do-the Sturridge-Danny doo Danny-do

We all know, WE ALL KNOW
He scores goals, HE SCORES GOALS
We all know, he scores goals
He's got the magic in his toes

http://youtu.be/T0EDCAVsEDM

Quality that!

Not sure if something like this has been done:

To the tune of "Danny boy" (Irish traditional song)

Oh Danny Boy..... the fans, the fans are calling,
From game to game...for you to keep on scoring

Maybe add this in for second verse?

Just do your best....and it will stop the moaning,
For you will see, that we will all be smiling.

Ill get my coat ;)

OK give the popularity of Don't Worry by Bob Marley at recent matches I just had this thought

When Daniel Sturridge
Is scoring,
Then Every little thing,
Is gonna be alright!
Singing when Sturridge
Is dancing
Then Every little thing
Is gonna be alright!

Shout to that Stir It Up one too a few posts up, class!

I've said it once and I'll say it again, this should be sturridge's song, it's so easy and can be belted out over and over again.
To the tune of She'll be Coming Round the Mountain:

Daniel Sturridge will be dancing when he scores,
Daniel Sturridge will be dancing when he scores,
Daniel Sturridge will be dancing,
Sturridge will be dancing,
Daniel Sturridge will be dancing when he scores.

yup sturridge dancing when he scores sounds good too.

Stop making up songs and sing one.

Fuck sakes.. when he went off it wasnt until he got to the bench that the fans chanted his name.

Embarrassing.

Ok I've put a lot of thought into this and pretty sure this is the one. Kinda amazed its not in popular use already but anyway......

We got a man his names Dan Sturridge
Sadly his name only rhymes with Porridge
In a big pinch you could probably use Orange,
He scores when he wants.

He scores when he wants
He scores when he wants
His name dont rhyme for shit but
he scores when he wants

voila!

13 goals in 19 starts for the lad this season. If the surgery + new training regime for him has got him past the bulk of his injuries, then it's crazy the numbers he can hit next season.

I feel like it's really gone under the radar still, just how impressive his haul has been in such a short time. Here he is compared to the top strikers in the league this season

Unlike the other 3, he doesn't take penalties and in that time had to come back from a crazy long run of injuries and fit into a new system. The lad's goalscoring ability really is scary.

If he manages 30 starts next season, I think he'll walk the golden boot

Should be either the Pass the Dutchie song (especially now we have another reggae classic in Three Little Birds  ;D)

Or something fucking easy as mentioned above but he needs a decent song - he's our best player !

Or maybe this :D :

Oh his name is Daniel Sturridge,
He scores great goals for our team (for our team !),
He always goes and dances in the corner,
We love him 'cos his shooting is a dream,

Oh Sturridge will 'meg you,
And then he'll turn the screw,
Leaving players in his wake feeling blue,

Oh Danny always scores,
He makes the Kop roar,
Leaves everyone standing there in awe.

(alternative last 3 lines  ;D)

Oh Danny always scores,
He leaves the Kop in awe,
Makes everyone bounce and fucking roar.

Sang to Bad Moon Rising obviously , but the full version as sang by Argentinian fans as opposed to the four line Colin Pascoe version.

Such a fucking good tune and needs to be brought back now Pascoe's gone !

Agreed , he has been on fucking fire since he came back , all things considered.

Hope the medical staff have him back to his peak fitness levels and that's it for him now injury wise (especially with that new Bayern doctor to take care of him).

Just hope the few signs that he can't sprint as fast as he used to be able to are only because he's not fully there yet and not as some people have said he won't regain that pace.

Should be unplayable next season !!

Yeah, I hope that top speed does come back, obviously. But if it doesn't then I've always thought (and he is showing it this back end of the season) that it won't be as disastrous for his game as it was for Torres and Owen. Dan's just a better all-rounder than those two. A little bit more gifted and a little smarter. He can still be successful as a slower version of himself.

Shame we still have not got a proper song for Daniel Sturridge yet, he is our best player at the club at the moment. Hopefully his injuries are now all behind him. But being away with England at the European championships with Hodge Podge, with his training methods he will probably break him again in training.  :no  :butt

The thing about his stats, is we could all see his form wasn't his best at the back end of last season.. Hence Origi was getting starts ahead of him in the Europe League up until his injury. He didn't have full confidence in his body (again, understandably) and was not capable of sprinting like he could two years ago. He also ran out of gas early most games, his match fitness was never fully there.

Now he's had a full 5 or 6 months injury free and will be sharing gametime at the Euro's with Vardy and Kane so the tournament hopefully won't take too much out of him. Then a pre season with Klopp and our new fitness coach from Bayern should have him in top shape for next season.

Klopp didn't rush him back from injury, he kept him out for extra time to build his fitness and managed his return to the team in a balanced way. If Sturridge can stay fit into the first few months of next season he has to be given credit for his management of the situation.

If Sturridge can stay fit for the majority of the season, keep his match fitness up and get that extra bit of pace back into his game, the lad is unplayable and honestly wouldn't swap him for any other striker in the league. I'm hoping Firmino can build an understanding with him this season much like Suarez did, if he gets the right kind of service he will score a lot of goals next season.
In Soviet Russia, fish fingers you.
