Can't say I've seen too much of him, but now that he is a red he has my full support. I don't see him being first choice and really do think he should be given a season to settle down before he is judged. The pessism on these boards is ridiculous...a year ago we were selling our best players and buying Paul Konchesky!

When Man Utd were linked with Henderson he was know as the best English prospect but when we signed him he was seen as overpriced and fathead got a better deal.

Well Spains goal was from poor marking from Jones (at least I think it was him)..... should have sticked to his man. Henderson is playing ok, nothing special yet either but I guess it is because he is playing against Mata in the middle.

I heard it was £16m. Anyway, it's a lot of money for seemingly a lot of talent which seems fair enough. The drunken tramp is allowed spunk cash on players so why can't we? Not see a great deal of this lad though I heard he did wreck Chelsea when the Mackems spanked them 3-0. If the Chelsea, le Arse or Mancs signed him, the media would salivate all over him. See Rod Liddle's piece in the Sunday Times about Kenny going for Power over finesse.

Typical reaction to a player in transfer window goes like this:
Player X linked to Liverpool for £16m. Forum reaction - He is shit, overrated etc.
Same Player on the verge of signing for Mancs for £17m. FFS! Why didn't we get him, he is awesome. Lost out in the market to them again etc.
Same Player again in shocking U-Turn signs for Liverpool for £15.5m. Waste of money etc.
It's gonna be a long summer .....

Wasn't on the ball enough, did well when he was though. The problem with England is they don't have the patience that Henderson seems to have, he's perfectly okay with not forcing the issue and passing back and starting an attack all over again but when he does the defense usually just hoofs it out to a wide players completely nullifying the midfield and losing possession more times than not. Wish we had picked up Jones though, he's going to be good.

Difficult for him in the first half, England constantly giving the ball away doesnt help at all and they have been playing like 11 strangers for most of that half. When he has got hold of the ball he has shown some nice touches and intelligent play.

One thing you can say he does have is a great engine getting up and down the pitch and trying to get involved. England need to try and keep hold of the ball a lot better second half.
