Just like to say the Reina save I thought 'fuck thats in' I wondered what had happened I honestly thought he cant have saved that and I knew it hadn't hit the post straight off as it would have come off with more power.

I spent a weird 5 seconds thinking I'd skipped into a parallel universe where solid objects could be stopped by the power of thought.

Well played today lads.  Only just got back after a few sesions in city centre.  Mascharano is the ticket.  We should've signed Tevez as well.

When you can afford to take Gerrard off half hr to go, you know you're doing ok.

So much control today, it was satisfying to watch.  Arsenal were dreadful but we got on with it, took no prisoners and did what we needed to do.

Mascherano was excellent in the middle of the park, their midfield had nothing.  Arbeloa and Aurelio had good games at full-back and supported the attack well.  Crouch's 3 goals were all quality, a hattrick to savour, beating Toure at the front post, a precision header and neat play at the end.

In the end it was all very composed with plenty to carry into the CL.

Thoroughy enjoyed todays game.

Complete professional performance.  Couldn't ask for anything more.

Crouchie was sublime with that perfect hat trick and his all round play.  On reflection, couldn't faul anyone.  Very promising performance.

If only we could perform like this every week.  Hopefully, this will come.

I love how Rafa can wind up the media.  All week we've heard  Stevie G must play central midfield , and that Rafa has brainwashed the public into thinking that he can't play CM, and he must play at right wing.  The press saying will Rafa change his mind and play him CM, like we all demand he does, or will he stick with his wild ways and play him out of postion at right wing. 

What does Rafa do?  Gives them all a mind fuck and play him behind the striker

When I seen Arbeloa, Mascareno and Auruelios names in the starting 11 I thought oh no one eye on tuesday can we afford to have so many changes in an important game.
But low and behold it worked a treat.
They where very fresh mascareno Aurelio, Arbeloa, Pennant and Crouch where our best players Rafa got his tactics spot on best performance at Anfield this season they where like a new team yesterday some lovely football on show some great flick ons ecspecially for the first goal, Arbeloa and Pennant, brilliant absoulty over the moon but I did say on here we would win when others thought no chance  felt it in me bones I tells ya.
Still drunk really really made up.

Maybe the reason we havent been playing that well has been because Crouch has only started 16 games this season, well on yesterdays performance Rafa would be stupid to get rid in the summer.
He is an option no one else has and a key weapon they couldnt handle him yesterday and two wingers made all the difference.

I think we played like Rafa's Valencia yesterday great stuff

It's great to see we have speed on the wings - the wingers and fullbacks. If we play like this next season, it's very likely we'll win the league. All the players on the pitch today have good technical abilities - I've said it all along that we need players who can control the ball, pass well as the minimum prerequisites for playing for us

A good team performance which meant that we weren't replying on Gerrard as much as usual. I thought that Carra was superb again in defence.

He put in two great crosses, one that definitely should have led to a goal when Gerrard put in a tame effort. He looked dangerous and his confidence seemed to be growing as the game went on. He still doesn't look fit enough, but he and we should take great encouragement from his showing yesterday.

Great performance all round except for Gonzo who looked not good enough and maybe with more matches and competition for places with Sebastian Leto. he'll become a good player. Aurelio shouldn't play at left midfield anymore look comfortable at the back.

Pennant very good performance good crossing but he also need real competition for place and players such as Quaresma or Simao can make him good !!

Gerrard was a little quiete so was Alonso too. Masch outstanding, better than Sissoko but not as strong as him.

Revenge is f*cking sweet!
A class performance yesterday! I thought that we had a very good chance of winning the match, but 4-1? This is almost the team that played a very booring 0-0 draw at Villa Park not long ago.
I think we played fantastic. All the players did really well, right from Reina to the last man upfront.
It was nice to see Peter Crouch back in the starting line up. I think we have missed him the last few weeks. He his our hold up player and was one of our most important players last season and this year he has been flying with 16 goals. He could be our 20+ goalscorer without us knowing.
This season we have had to live with three big and very painfull defeats too Arsenal, but finally we were the winners.
I was very impressed with Arbeloa and Mascherano. Arbeloa have done a great job. He is not only a back up for Finnan, but a player that could beat Finnan in the competition for right back, but that will be hard though.
Now we have seen Mascherano as the player we saw him in Argentina. Yesterday he was class. Made very good and important tackles and were good at passing the ball around.
Its hard to choose the man of the match, because all the players deserves huge credit, but Its hard to not to pick Peter Crouch, he was fantastic, he even scored with his head! So he is my man of the match.

Indeed.  Eboue is quite sharp and Speedy was flying when he put in that cross that Gallas nearly turned in. It's there for sure.  Needs a run of games.
