Reggie Bush is having a good game today. Payton has him starting all over the place and it seems to be working for the time being.

Just as I say that, he creates a TD reception out of nothing. What an athlete.

Make a stand. We needed that.

We look nothing like the Game 1 team last year, and I fully admit, this is not he best NFL team you ever saw.

But 1-0 is better than 0-1.

Now on the Brady situation - I wonder if Sarah Palin can cover next week?

From all accounts Philly have been fucking awesome today. McNabb having a career game.

Nice to get off to a win anyway, Moss is on the board and we did it without Tom. Just get well soon.

What happened to the Jags? Running game just didn't get going?

Phins 3and10 on the Jets 18. 13secs left.  Be harsh on the Jets if the Phins nick it.

Nevermind, intercepted.

Me - took him last year to handcuff LT knowing he would hit FA. Turner is a good pickup in drafts this year at the right spot as they will look to establish a power running game and take the heat off Ryan.

Given up already? Seems bizarre but they are never getting back into this anyway.

My Fleaflicker team has picked up injuries for Brady and Barber this week, fan fuckin' tastic, might top two points scorers. Literally might as well give up now.

For the past 7 years the only thing I have hated more than the Patriots is Tom fucking Brady. And now I am soo pissed that he is out. All the media over here are going to do is suck his dick.  But I am actually more happy at the fack that the Pats are still going to run away with the division and then maybe people will start to think hey, New England have had great O-coordinators the past 7 years, and a great defense and a great defensive schemer (even though I hate his fucking guts)  They also have always had good tight ends, a decent running game, the 3rd best pass catching running back in the NFL in Kevin Faulk (well not anymore but during their main run).  Then people will look at that first superbowl and realize it was a total fluke that they were even there, and the next season they didn't even make the playoffs.  I know Tom Brady is a good quarterback but he is way overhyped in the media and hopefully the success of the Pats this year will help put into perspective how much he was really helping

Mr. Terp, I'm pretty certain that the Pats are gonna feel the absence of Tom Brady. This may come as a big shock to you but he is their key player, mate. Anyone who leads a team to 3 Super Bowl wins is deserving of accolades. He's one of the best ever. End of.

After lurking for quite a while on this thread it's not the best start for the 49ers. They're my favorite team beacuse of Bill Walsh - coaching genius, Montana, Rice, Young, Craig, Jones et al when i first watched the NFL when it was first  shown on Channel 4. After that i watched the game on and off for 24 years.

As for the scarlet red & gold's chances this season? Hmmm realistically they'll do very well to win the division yet alone sneaking one of the wildcard spots. Because the NFC West is probably the waekest division in the NFL and Seattle should win the division comfortably - with Mike Holmgren in his last season as coach. He'll want to finish his coaching career in style.

It'll be very interesting to see how the Pats cope with without Tom Brady for the rest of the season. Especially since they've only got Matt Casel as the reserve QB, no doubt that NE will be looking for an experience QB for the current season.

Looking foward to watching the NFL double bill on Channel 5 i.e. Vikings vs Packers & The Broncos vs Raiders at 1am.

Not much of a NFL fan, but watched a fair few games last year and was amazed at this Brady fella. Been looking forward to seeing him play this season, but gutted he will not be playing.

I remember the Super Bowl last year how he was so close to picking up his game enough to drive the defense back and hit some great marks.

Real shame.
It looks to me as if we have signed another 'average' player. I'll hold back my complete opinion until I see the lad play

Pats have confirmed that Brady will be on IR and miss the rest of the season.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think Cassel can hack it. Or Chris Simms, for that matter.
