Fulham could sign Andre before we play them..
they gave us a game at Anfield.
Lets not take them lightly..

Jurgen will make sure that we don’t. Any of the other three teams left are quite capable of beating us but the probability is that we should win.

Sun, 7 Jan: Arsenal v Liverpool (FA Cup)
Wed, 10 Jan: Liverpool v Fulham (League Cup)
Sun, 21 Jan: AFC Bournemouth v Liverpool
Wed, 24 Jan: Fulham v Liverpool (League Cup)
Wed, 31 Jan: Liverpool v Chelsea
Sat, 3 Feb: Arsenal v Liverpool

We'll really feel the benefits of that 14-30 Jan winter break  ::)

If the Arsenal cup game is drawn the replay would be Jan 16/17 so our mid season break wouldn’t be that at all.

Did we play well or did West Ham played badly? From the highlights it seems like West Ham was very bad but that could just be down to us being that good.

West Ham were poor but our performance heavily contributed to that. We flew out the traps, Elliott, Dom and Jones were brilliant in that opening period winning the ball high up the pitch. It really set the tone.

There’s a few that have thrown their hat in the ring to start on Saturday, we need to take that intensity in again. Going off that game alone (and I stress that), you’d be looking at Gomez, Quansah, Jones, Elliott, Gakpo and Nunez who came out of that with flying colours

We made West Ham look poor as we didn't let them build any pressure, momentum in the game at any point, we snuffed them out at every given opportunity bar the goal they scored. Our energy was top notch from start to finish.

As far as the draw, Boro would have been the best draw, followed by Fulham, as regardless of how poor Chelsea are, playing them twice without Mo is a bigger pain than playing against Fulham.

Good on Klopp to lit the fire for the atmosphere for saturday already with those comments, we need to make it relentless against them.

Early on in the game it looked like the lads were clearly given the freedom to shoot, all of them.

I think the freedom is what allows the team to build real confidence. Make no mistake, the LC is as close to a free hit as you'll ever get in footy - you know the score, we all care but no one really cares. But fuck me it was good to watch tonight.

Gomez and Elliot have 100% played their way into the team this last few weeks. Possibly Jones as well. It'll be concerning if they both sit out on Saturday again while players desperately out of form continue. They were both brilliant last night and added so much energy and creativity to an attacking unit that had been toiling.

Nunez was much better on the left and that's where he should stay for the time being, IMO.

Nobody here thinks that Jarrod Bowen is a good player? I think he's going to do well in future.

Great performance last night from him, personally I feel. His goal is awesome.

I don’t think Gomez can or should play two games in a row. Elliott is a better impact player.

Delighted with last night. Thought the team selection was spot on with big players getting rest either from the start or after getting taken off on 60. Performance was excellent (maybe helped by West Ham being awful - or maybe the performance made them look awful), atmosphere sounded decent (although Klopp seemed to have a complaint about something to do with the crowd behind him after the game), all round good night. Bring on Fulham in the next round!

But first, lets smash Arsenal and go top for Christmas!  ;D

Yes he's a very good player and took his goal well. He converts a lot of his chances and might be an even better player in a better team.

How can anyone say that drawing Fulham in a semi final is a bad draw ffs?

I don't think it's a bad draw at all. I just think Fulham have a better chance of beating Chelsea over two legs than Boro.

But people are right, let's worry about Fulham first and then see what happens.

I've rated him for a couple of years and this season is likely to be his most productive to date. The thing is, he's 27, so time is running out for him to play in a Champions League team if he is indeed good enough. He's a lot better than crap like Antony who played in that competition this season  ;D

Klopp also rates him as it happens.

Great response after the Utd game. Clinical with our chances, and capitalised on any gaps and lapses in concentration. Great to see Curtis get a brace, and Elliot was positive and lively throughout. Dom's goal will also have given him a much needed lift. Shame Darwin couldn't get on the scoresheet, but hopefully he's saving it up for this weekend.

No new injuries, a cup semi to look forward to, and Arsenal at home under the lights on Saturday. Plus we have Mac, Gravenberch, Jota, Robbo, Thiago, and Bajetic to come back in. It's all looking good.

That is true mate.

Our finishing was laughable on that day - last night we didn't even really play that well and yet our finishing was pretty brutal.

Just disappointed that we couldn't find the net once against a truly terrible team.

Ending and Salah will miss the first leg. Mo is at AFCON and ENDO is at the Asian Cup.

That’s a bit of a loss

But you just do you, kid.

How about you stop dismissively calling people you argue with, 'kid'?  It's really condescending and you can argue points without resorting to that.

What a performance. Really enjoyed this game.
Credit to the manager and the players , not easy with this schedule.
I just hope we don't go back to trying to be too smart with this inverted shit. We played like a team and players looked free especially Dom.

We started well but still seemed quite abject in the final third - felt like a hangover from the United game.

We dominated of course but the second half was where we saw some outstanding football.

I think the team for Arsenal picks itself based on availability and performances: Becker, Trent, Konate, VVD, Tsmikias, Curtis, Dominic, Elliot, Mo, Gakpo, Diaz.

I'd have Nunez on at 70 as an impact sub. He might start Endo over Elliot which I'd be fine with.
