What were all the great chances he created that weren't taken? Trent managed him really well. He got to be flashy on the ball but kept finding himself running out of room or having to play a simple pass inside, Trent was the reason for that.

There was a couple, in fact he created a decent chance right before Trent scored.  Trent managed him well but he was still their biggest threat.

Got away with it, we were horrendous in that 2nd half, couldn’t string 2 passes together. A very very good point to take from this game.

I'd agree we were relatively poor in the first half, but thought the second half was much better. Gravenberch's ball-carrying was massive, basically our best method of transitioning. Helped City weren't quite at it. They seemed happy to keep us at arm's-length, assuming we wouldn't score, rather than finding a second. They were comfortably ahead of us on xG.

Saw Collymore on Twitter post some snarky Tweet when we went 1-0 down about Trent, which I thought was a bit mad considering of all the duels we lost in the first half (basically all of them), Trent was the one dealing with his man fairly well.

Great result and performance given our recent history there, certainly the best we played since losing to them 2-1 in 18/19 where we were hard done by masssively.

Hopefully Ali, Jota and Macca aren't too seriously injured, especially Ali.

I thought we had several situations where we got in their box but we failed to make the right decision or execute the pass correctly. Given it's an early kick off and back off an international break, this draw is even better than what it would be normally.

Richards asked a valid question to be honest, wasn't slagging Nunez off at all and two things can be right at the same time.

You look at the two chances in similar positions, the touch out of the feet literally is the difference. They are different types of strikeers and Haalands game is based around those kinds of situations whereas Nunez is more involved in the all round build up

That's exactly it. He may have been their busiest player but I didn't think at any point he was on the verge of creating or scoring a goal. Reaffirms my belief people were shitting themselves over a performance against Bournemouth and very little else.

I may have got that wrong then thought he only had 1 assist and 1 goal. But may have got that from the pre match thread?
I don’t disagree he’s an exciting player but Trent did really well against him and he didn’t create that much today for all his trickery
