What is Micah on about Trent can’t be inverted in CM and RB at the same time so it’s not bad from Trent it is an INSTRUCTION from the manager.

Stones does the same for City of course good teams will catch you out at times.

I dont think it’s fair comparison. Nunez chance was tougher, the ball was slightly behind him and had far less space once he gets it under control.

Absolutely hate this era of hyper critical commentators where they get the microscope out, desperate to find anything to be critical about. I remember when commentary used to add a feel good factor to the game, it used to add to the occasion.

Perfect time to pick a point up away at the Ethiad for us.

Spurs, Chelsea, City all played away now - all got to come to Anfield and no more international breaks until March. We can hopefully focus on building momentum now as we all know this is what Klopp’s teams are made of. No more Nunez or Szbo being ran into ground, or Maca, Ali and Lucho flying half way across the world.

We are in this.

I dont think its meant as they're identical though. The less space thing is part of the point, a great first touch allows for the finish.

Haalands goal had a touch of fortune to be honest, had he hit it cleanly I think Ali saves it

Fair result for an interesting but fairly dull game. Cancelled each other out. Very little space through the middle.
Great run by Gakpo to clear space for Trent and a great finish.

Ref was ok, but gave them everything for niggly fouls, some that were very soft. Seemed to suddenly start booking our players at the end for very little. The Darwin booking wa identical to Alvarez, but treated differently.

The fouls on Ali, were both blatant. You can't pull him arm back, let go then jump at him as he goes to catch it. Don't understand why they went through the VAR process, particularly for the second one. He shoved him into the net!
Oh and why 1 minute injury time first half 8 in the second?

Overall, take the point, as towards the end they had a couple of good chances, but we were not at our best.

Thought we were better in the first half to be honest, but we held on and took advantage of the chance.

The reaction broadly speaking has been strange. I never thought we would go there and control the game. We just had to keep our nerve, which we did.
