Why the surprise early call for elections? One completely wild conspiracy theory: Corbyn might have finally decided to stand independently, or with Galloway, and neither party wants to give him time to prepare.

Is this a joke?

Who cares, Tory blue to Tory red

Won't make one jot of difference
Did you hear Starmers response to Sunak calling a election ? it was aimed at people like yourself, the ignorant apathetic protentional voter who think they are all the same.  so what's your opinion based on. the usual ive got a feeling nothing will change much under Labour. it can't be based on evidence and fact.

I will get a vote but I don't it won't make any difference.

A knighted Labour leader doesn't instill much confidence that things will get any better, hope I'm proved wrong.

The fact he is knighted is not relevant and doesnt suggest much thought.
The fact hes a c*nt who employs the likes of Reeves Lammy Streeting and Kendall is what should concern you more.

Lammys disappointed. dropped himself in it a few times over the last few yrs but nothing compared to his critics on the left.
I would get used to Streeting. hopefully Starmer takes Labour into 3+ election wins but Streeting looks like being his successor. future PM.

I'm in one of the safest of Labour seats (Wallasey) so it's one of those where I can either stick with Labour despite the 99.9999999% probability of an Angela Eagle win, or a Green vote to give my support to them.

My seat is a bit of a weird one. Labour had it for years, SNP won it in2015, Tories in 2017 and back to SNP in 2019. If I'm very confident the Tories can't win it, I'll likely vote Green, as I'm genuinely indifferent between Labour and SNP at this point. If it looks like the Tories might have a chance I'll have to figure out which of Labour and the SNP are in best position to win.

I don't think the Tories will have a chance though as it stands.

Presumably the logic behind the early GE rather than clinging to power for as long as possible is that the economy is taking a turn for the better, Sunak surely isn’t deluded enough to think that they’ll stay in power but probably does think this is their best chance at securing a good number of seats?

Butt hurt Corbynites would love a Tory win as they're jealous that Labour are actually an electable force again rather than a pathetic student like protest group they were under the old man. Its why we hear the Tory Red, Tory Blue bullshit and that nothing will change because they can't stomach the fact that there's a Labour front bench who are actually capable of winning an election when Corbyn failed multiple times. Luckily these idiots are in the minority and will have no actual bearing on any of the results during this election. Corbyn losing his seat if he does have the balls to stand again will be another sweet moment during this election

I think Sunak is sick of the shit show and want to fuck off out of parliament and into something much more lucrative. He's a self entitled little prick that can't take any responsibility for the last 14 years of fucking up the country.
