Labour is quietly celebrating by the stage.

They have just squeaked through thanks to Sandwell.

Richard Parker will be the next West Midlands Mayor.

Full declaration expected soon.

The Tories will be tearing themselves apart once this is announced. Also, they wanted a recount in seven areas so expect a great big moan by the ring wingers in the Tory party.

Why did the Tories want a recount in Coventry when their man lost by 10,000 votes? Just Tories being Tories and delaying the inevitable?
probably to do with the overall total
However if something serious happens to them I will eat my own cock.

Very true!

After these election results, the longer Sunak holds off calling an election the greater the damage to the Tory party.

Been saying that for months. He keeps stalling in the hopes that something - anything - might crop up that might dent Labour's lead. But the longer he leaves it the more pissed off the electorate becomes and the more determined they are to punish the Tories.

Between Sunak hoping for one of his policies to get some traction or the economy to improve, or for some scandal to engulf Labour, he really is just knocking more holes in the bottom of the SS Torytanic.
