another Khan win

Another vote in one of London's mayoral regions has gone Sadiq Khan's way.

The Labour mayor has beaten Tory Susan Hall by 54,481 to 43,405 in West Central.

Who is still voting Tory? Who is looking at this and think.. yes, more years of this.
It makes zero sense

South West London (home town to yours truly) switched from Tory to Labour in the Mayoral elections.

Significant because it’s an areas that’s been impacted by ULEZ but still switched.

You've got to remember it covers Sefton and that has Hightown, Formby, Ainsdale and Southport in it, so you're going to find a load of dyed in the woll Tories in there who will vote Tory no matter what.

That I really struggle to understand. Then again, my dickhead Dad is from Walton (lives in the Swan now) and votes Tory

after Liz Windsor died I noticed houses dead close to the ground had Union Jacks and bunting displayed in Windows.
So I looked it up.

5% swing from Tory to Labour so far in London.  Khan’s increasing his majority.  So much for the speculation yesterday.

Caveat of course, still some results to come in

But it shows that there are 27,708 voting age people in the Merseyside region happily vote tory  :puke2
I think ive learned more about the people of this country in the last 8yrs than all the decades before.
I think some believe all the Torys nasty talk shows they mean business, if they mean business then they will tackle the problem head on and sort it out. they respect them for it.
The obvious flaw in the logic is they never seem to connect the dots and look at the results, they carry on listening to the excuses and nasty speeches and back the next nasty solution.

Well done to Sadiq Khan.  Susan Hall as mayor of our capital would have been a national embarrassment.

The only election near me was for PCC.  Tory incumbent narrowly held on but turnout was really low.

Even that was hilarious/pathetic. Sunak going up there for a victory lap and Houchen could barely disguise his disinterest and disdain for him.
