Pretty woeful after a very good start that made us look like we'd really started turning things around. What's wrong with just passing to each other. So many hopeful percentage balls to give it away against 10 men, then some mindless carelessness.

Great to have VVD back. Good to see Nuñez and Gakpo score. Some serious brainfarts on display today though.

after I did my commentary stint I had to watch a non-Sky feed (Sky one is about 20-30 seconds behind the live action), can't stand Tyler or Carra they really suck the enjoyment out of the game. Both should be binned off

scrappy 2nd half - felt we gave them a few too many chances. Jota should have had at least a couple.

Somehow Newcastle only conceded three fouls all game and one of them was the red card by Pope. Even the shitty tackle by Trippier that injured Nunez was somehow given as a free-kick to them.

Ah well, fuck 'em. Not exactly back to our best but back-to-back wins are very welcome.

It's going to take time to get anywhere near the expected (high) level we've been used to, but grinding out results like this will do wonders for the player's confidence. 2 consecutive wins have now put us in with a fairly decent shout for top 4.

But once we slow the play down we are woeful. So many slow sloppy passes, and the space we gave away in midfield is astonishing.
