If Jota, Minamino and Shaqiri started a league game in the league, many fans would lose their minds. Most seem to like the idea of rotation rather than the reality.

Makes sense to start Jota, Minamino and Shaq in the midweek CL game though.

I don't see them all starting this one after Salah/Mane/Firmino played only 60 minutes last match.

You are right though there will never be a good time for it. This game it will be "but we have to bounce back after Everton and Aston Villa, can rest them later". Then it will be "but we have to maintain our momentum, can rest them later". Then it will be "got to stay top over Christmas can rest them later". And so on so forth.

Like Fordy said, they could well get a start together in the Champions League against Midtjylland.

We could start Mo, Messi and Ronaldo and people on here would lose their minds, Klopp and the coaching staff know what they’re doing. We play midgetland during the week, if we’re going to rotate that’s the one to make wholesale changes. 42% increase in muscle injuries this season, we have to rotate, Klopp did the right think taking the front 3 off, I would play our strongest side tomorrow then make a bunch of changes for Tuesday.

Many would but I wouldn’t (assuming it isn’t City away or something mad.).

It depends on the opposition and the context of the match (also I never said it had to be a league game.)

Could see us maybe doing 2/3 of them on Tuesday perhaps.

Results went alright though didn’t they?

I doubt our management is arsed about how our fanbase reacts to a team selection.

I won’t lie, I went a bit west with both of those two line ups, but we won both, which is why it wouldn’t massively shock me if you see something similar over the next few weeks whilst we’re playing twice w eeek.

Indeed. I loved both line ups and didn’t realise why everyone reacted so strongly.

We had a great squad and it showed in both those games.

Is this a serious post?

Why worry about that? Villa lost today (not that they were a long term threat). Win tomorrow and we’re second I think. And frankly we’d be ahead of anyone we need to worry about.

Yes, we would be second. I dream of us winning by a big score and Everton getting pummelled so we would be top  ;D I'd imagine there is little chance of a 7 goal swing though  8) As long as we do our job, everyone else can worry about us.

It is a week where we need to win all three games; regardless of whether we do so scruffily or impressively. If we can win against Sheffield and West Ham, there's a chance we'll be top going into the oil cheat game! Beat the Danes midweek and we build on a fine result in Amsterdam.

Win this and 13 out of 18 points is fine. 1 freak result and an away derby in the 2 not wins.

Think it's vital Henderson plays in midfield.

Agreed. Chelsea away, Everton away, Arsenal at home (granted we usually paste them them but they're still a reasonable threat), Villa away (always a banana peel) is tough. Only Leeds was the gimme and even then you never know against newly promoted sides.

Leeds under Bielsa are one of the trickiest sides in the league. They've easily beaten Villa last night, and have outplayed Man City in their draw. So far, we've had by far the most difficult fixtures compared to anyone.

Hadn’t realised that but you’re right. I think we should be pretty pleased with our start, freak result aside. We’ve beaten and dominated good teams, teams who are all improved from last season. It’s the first game against a team that look like they’ve regressed. Hopefully we can make the most of it.
