Sane off to Bayern then. Quality player. Questions over his behaviour and mentality but he's some talent. Remember watching him for Schalke before he signed for City and I don't think City ever saw the best from him over a consistent period. He's a big loss for them.

Kompany getting a lot of love on Twitter today. Pains me to say it (for all the heartbreak it caused in Liverpool), but that was some strike. Kompany was a top bloke and an incredible captain. The Guardiola effect and the City team as a whole have not and will never be the same without him. So, amidst the heartbreak is a note of comfort: There is a Kompany-shaped hole in their universe now.

The foul on Salah by Kompany that wasn't given was a bit of a sliding doors moment, he should've been sent off for that and Liverpool would've gone on to win the league.
The fact that he then tried to claim it was an acceptable challenge made me lose respect for him, the classless prick.

Surprised he's stopped crying from the penalty they didn't get at Anfield this season yet.

Yeah, you're right, but... We win the European Cup, but wasn't there was still a slight hint of regret that we didn't get over the line in the league after 97 points.

Forgot about this. Fuck me, it was infuriating. But I guess I've always liked Kompany as a person and a captain, probably because Milner always speaks so highly of him. That Salah incident was one of many which proved that Liverpool got a raw deal from referees, and that VAR was supposed to be a good thing for the game. Now, VAR is one of many things being used by Joe Public to undermine our fantastic season... Oh well.

I used to think that about him. Until he sang that song about crocking Salah and our fans being battered in the streets.
Sort of tarnished him somewhat.

Kyle Walker piece on BBC making my blood boil. Talks about mitigating circumstances, then doesn’t list any? Folk can’t see their dying relatives and he pops down to Sheffield to give his sister a cuddle for her birthday!
I think the same, can't stand him, but if you could have a £1million pound cheque or steve bruces head hollowed out and filled with pound coins which would you have?

His mitigating circumstance was that he got caught with escorts while there was supposed to be a lockdown and people were angry with him and that made him feel bad

I feel for anyone struggling through this period, I’m sure many of us are up and down and are having some rough periods. Reporters following famous people around trying to get a “gotcha” moment isn’t on either.

However this is the hand we’ve been dealt and we all have to find a way of coping within the rules, he could have posted the card, he could have FaceTimed his sister. That’s how millions of us are trying to dealing with it, it’s my sister’s birthday tomorrow and we’ve always been pretty close but I’m not breaking lockdown to see her.  It’s shit, but that’s how it is for now, but it won’t be forever.

As for going to his parents to pick up some home made meals?! :o  He’s a grown man with a family. How is he still getting home made meals from his mum and dad? If he’s been locked down for several weeks with nothing to do he could have tried his hand at learning to cook a few meals himself. It might have kept his mind active for a bit and could have helped with his mental health.

I dont think it would've been an issue if he had followed the social distancing guidelines. Going out is itself not banned. It is not recommended but not banned.

To collect home food? Lots of people do it. I personally wouldnt have a problem with it. Could've avoided it. But still nothing wrong. As long as he did not go inside their homes and didnt come within 2-3m of his parents. Can be excused.

To wish his sister in person, no issues. Hug? That one definitely is wrong.

Going out to cycle with a friend? That definitely is wrong considering the friend lived under another roof.

Have the police visited him about his violations or is it a separate rule for the rich?

Not a good enough reason to be driving to the next city with or without a hug.

Was reading an article by Simon Hughes in the Athletic on players' wages where he mentioned the fact that City being owned by a nation state had distorted the market. Cue the sportwashers say that City is actually owned by Sheikh Mansour and not a state and that Hughes should get his facts straight.

There was one fella who said John Henry has actually bankrolled us more than Abu Dhabi has them and all this would come out once someone bothered to look deeper into our finances.

Maybe Kyle, if you've been caught with two brasses round your gaff during a global pandemic when you should be isolating. Maybe you just keep your daft head down.

Popping to your sisters is not essential. Post the card and the present.

I'm sorry you feel a bit down. But honestly lad, why is that? Is that because you invited a couple of brasses round, one ran to a rag and sold the story and now everyone knows?

Whose fault is it? It's yours mate.

I know it's not worth their time, and that it would bring undeserved publicity to ridiculous allegations,  but just once I'd love to see FSG sue one of these plant pots for libel.
