I've got zero interest in the personal lives of wrestlers so if it's just some reality or scripted semi-reality thing I think I can give it a wide berth and not have to squeeze an extra hour of AEW content into my week somehow (I'd rather make room for Dark).

If it's some sort of backstage thing akin to an 'official' BtE then I'd be interest, but I think you'd struggle to stretch that to an hour show.

Also the same for Jarrett. I was so annoyed about him turning up, but they're using him well and the whole Sonjay/Satnam antics routine will probably play well into a huge multi-team match with the Acclaimed and Gunns already in the mix. It feels like Best Friends would be ideal to complete the quartet rather than a more serious team like the Lucha Bros.

I think Best Friends would be a good shout, although I think with the Forbidden Door comment by Bowens the other week, perhaps Aussie Open, or like Motor City Machine Guns, or even like Time Splitters (Shelly and Kushida). I think all would be really fun additions to the match

Great Dynamite.  That opener was brilliant and the Starks/Jericho bit was really fun stuff.

Tag royale was a bit of a mess as they always are, but good finish to the show and MJF has really gone to another level with his promos during this feud.

Ooooh will definitely try for tickets.

I'll be all over that too. Was considering MITB but not after seeing the prices for the presale.

Same for sure

Get enough from here to go and we might have a RAWK faction hit the ring  ;D

After someone told him what you supposedly said about his mother, he is dying to share that fun with you.  ;D

Going to be great.

Brody dismembering Stockholm, Tubby shrieking as Julia twists his arm, Damomad getting kneed in the head by Buddy, and me bravely taking hat on.

Shit I see a small flaw in my plan.

We need someone else on board quickly because we have nobody fighting Malakai and do not want him heading my way.

We may need to go after another faction. We could probably take the Dark Order, right?

Brock vs Omos and Bray vs Lashley is certainly a choice for Mania.

I am so done with Action Andretti.  Watched him on Hey! (EW) and he was so bad, just a complete charisma vacuum, and in-ring he's pretty much a high-flying CAW.  Fully expecting him to turn on Starks at the PPV and annoy me even further - I have no idea how he's in the spot he's in.

Ooooh fun

So 'look how many times Brock Lesnar can suplex this big guy' and.....yeah fuck knows for Wyatt/Lashley.

Interesting match, does Brock do the job? It would put Omos on the map as the top monster and also tie in well with Brock's annual post Mania disappearing act. I don't think he's good enough to lace Brock's boots mind.

Face of the Revolution ladder match is on tonight, thought it was Saturday, but should be fun.

I am picturing with the line up, either Takeshita or Hobbs win - more leaning towards Hobbs personally

Would be great for either.  Hobbs hasn't really been wrestling on TV much but this would be a big statement win for him.

I hope to Christ that doesn't happen, it's the most WWE Sports Entertainment obvious finish you can have, would just make my eyes roll. I just hope Starks wins and moves on to a new feud.

One thing that makes me think it could be him is her has been posting pictures on Social Media, and this guy is JACKED, even more so than usual. Looks in great shape - the kind of shape you see a guy in when he has been told he's getting the big win and big push

Yeah, previously the ladder match was on the PPV with the TNT shot to come later. A bit surprising it's tonight given there's also a casino battle royal, but fair enough, let's just load the card with talent.

And I like Hobbs, but I could really do with the 'Book of Hobbs' not being a physical book he brings to the ring. And if it has to be, make it something huge, not the tiny pamphlet he's been waving about recently. Something big enough to hollow out and put a weapon in, maybe.

I guess it's on TV with the iron man on the PPV.  I'm hoping at some point the book is opened on TV for us to see and it's just loads of pasted in pictures of Ricky Starks.

Odd Dynamite, other than the battle royal and post women's match, a really good show I felt, but maybe not a brilliant go home show.

Glad Hobbs got the win, Strap him up brother next week!

Tag match at Revolution looks a little dodgy ngl, although I think as a Party Match it would be a huge amount of fun. I like 3 of the 4 teams, but 2 of them because they are really fun (Jeff and Jay, and OC and Danhausen) - make it a party match and it'll be real sweet I think. Gonna need Acclaimed winning though I would say, reset and have them feuding with other teams (2.0, Lucha Bros, Bucks, etc)

If that is a Party Match, which I suggest it is, have to make the Trios match different, make it more serious and real. Which certainly can be done with the teams involved. Whoever loses (I suggest the Elite) should 100% enter the tag division.

Revolution should still be a really great show, never bet on AEW stumbling on PPV, to my recollection they've only ever had 1 bad PPV (all out 2020 I think) and 1 middling one (Double or Nothing last year)

So I think I know what happened to FTR - Dax Harwood (FTR Bald) has been incredibly precious on social media, and incredibly pissy about things. And beyond just I am unhappy stuff, like real thin skinned vanity search blocks and snide jabs in any direction

It's also pretty widely accepted that he was leaking everything around Punk and the Elite to Meltzer and Cornette in the summer (and then getting all upset about it in public, which caused Meltzer to near enough publicly call him out).

His last few matches he has had a real, REAL boo boo face coming to the ring.

The prevailing thing I hear from wrestling ITK's (even sadder  weirdos that the football ones but generally more reliable for how leaky wrestlers are) is that Dax is just a fucking nightmare to work with after a while, and does stuff like this. Real self indulgent too, particularly recently with his Bret Hart tributes.

Cash on the other hand, a real great guy, but comes with the package.

Basically the thing going around is he gets unhappy very easily, and is just so annoying that people don't particularly care too much when he goes, despite the team being probably the best tag team in the world in ring wise, along with the bucks

I've really enjoyed FTR's work in AEW, but there's no point keeping unhappy talent around. I read something from Dax (always him with the comments apparently) a while back that he doesn't know why they didn't get a shot at the Bucks when they were champs and FTR had every other belt. Everyone expected it to be a thing, they were no. 1 contenders I think, but they were just kept out of the title picture. Maybe that's the start of it?

Anyway, good luck to them in pastures new if they're going. No talent is bigger than the promotion, and there's always someone new coming along who can take the spots FTR would have had.

I really feel for Best Friends.

- In AEW since day one
- Anchored the tag division in the early days of the pandemic as the only recognised team available (filmed an entire feud with Kip Sabian & Jimmy Havoc in one day)
- Overcome serious injury to Trent
- Been a part of some popular high profile set piece matches (parking lot brawl, arcade anarchy)
- Got Sue and her minivan over
- Repeatedly given the people what they want

- Bumped from the tag title match for their singles division stablemates

It's a tricky one, because there's money to be made there.  But if it's at the cost of morale and just ends up with more friction, then is it worth it?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Punk back, but I don't think it's the right move.

I don't think he comes back u less he really humbles himself to everyone including Tony. He fell out with him after Brawl Out, talk is the whole speech was planned well in advance to get at Tony. He burnt the bridge and he would have to repair it entirely himself.

Lots of things to like about the PPV, absolutely nothing to dislike. Could not believe the way the Texas Death Match ended. Wrestling. Bloody hell. MJF is incredible, massive props to Danielson for that effort. Doubling down on the Gunns, sure.

What a way to cap a top sporting Sunday.

Very good PPV, excellent in fact. Nothing was bad, and a lot of things were incredibly good.

There was a lot of big face wins here, and a lot of face pushes, which makes me think we are setting up a few MJF feuds. Would honestly be fine with any one of Jungle Boy, Adam Cole, Hangman Page, or Ricky Starks beating MJF for the belt. They all make real sense and all good picks for a champ.

Wouldn't mind Starks vs Christian yet, Christian is a GREAT heater heel for young upcoming talent on the verge of a big push, good standard of talent to put Starks over.

MJF is a great heel champ, but I say he drops at Double or Nothing or All Out - gives him a long reign (7 months double or nothing, and 10 months all out), but also long heel reigns like MJF's can sometimes drag the feel good down a bit. I know that's the point but I feel it is bad to dwell on a heel champ for too long, you need a big Babyface pop at the top not too far in.

Really good PPV and MJF's presser afterwards was really good too.

Basically took Punk's tantrum presser and redid it in a manner that created a number of possible fueds that I would love to see. Page, Cole, Jungle Boy, Starks etc. Him namechecking all as he did sets up maybe two big fueds and a few smaller ones for MJF. Also muddies the water as to which one of them might be the one to finally dethrone him.

Liked the comments about Adam Cole and the good Doctor as well. Was a nice little nod to comments made by Cole a year or so ago about MJF.

Such a good presser, even had MJF berate journos and the kid he threw water over.

Very early doors but one of the Adams is my bet to dethrone him eventually (assuming one or both of them can burn bright for long enough)
What's your pleasure?

Amazing PPV.
Sit down, shock is better taken with bent knees.
