Man City's win was disappointing given Watford had done well up to the controversy, but that aside, there are good signs today from both Man City's win and Tottenham's loss on the overall effects of a long season and playing in cup competitions. I was confident Tottenham would drop points to Southampton after the exertions of defending a full 90 against Dortmund in the UCL, while City's recent run of games seemed to really take something, appearing lacklustre and rarely troubling Watford until the goal. Let's be clear though, these are just mere observations of things that could work to our advantage as the season comes to a close, they're not going to win us the league. We need to try and win every game and take advantage of when City does slip up, because performances like today's will ensure they do.
