£345 for the Saturday night. :0
Managed to get a room in the Travelodge in bromborough for £100.

Taking the piss. The one in Warrington is £190 for the night for a double room, me and the missus have stayed there before and it was under a ton.

Just a warning for those planning on watching on the BT website or app.

I've watched dozens of games on there over the season and it has been fine, but the big games that generate a lot of traffic seem to bring some difficulties. I watched the semi final 1st leg on the website and there were a few moments in there when things buffered/lagged a bit. Also happened a tiny bit during the National League final the other day. I imagine the CL final will be the highest amount of traffic they get, so hopefully they'll sort whatever the issue is.

FFS - Can't find a cheap hotel in Liverpool with availability for 5 on 26th for the life of me.  Looks like I might have to abandon plans to come up  >:(

Just stay up all night celebrating!

Yeah, I sent them a message and asked if they are showing it on big screens and they just sent me a thumbs up response.

At £6 a ticket I figured it's worth a go. Will turn up really early to check the screens and then move on if no good.

Edit - Just had another response. It's been shown on a projector screen too
You've convinced me.  Tickets bought. :D

I'll get there fairly early, have my free drink and if it's shit then it's only cost me about £2 and I can move on to Renshaw Street.

I've booked Circo for 7 of us, never been so not sure what it'll be like. Sold out now though 350 tickets, hopefully decent view of the screen!

What about the youtube channel? I see they will be screening for free.

The Travelodge is directly opposite the Village. Very basic, no food, drink etc. Just a bed and shower but I am sure that’s all you need. Good call.

Isn't the Youtube live hd link the best one to try? Might try it for the Europa game tonight.

It's on Sky which I don't have and all the pubs aren't serving until 8am (645am kick off) so if the BT option is feasible and reliable it might be a case of watching at home. Dont want to rely on an acestream for this.

Plan is to head to Fly in the Loaf about half 12 on the Saturday and just stay there all day. Was debating buying a ticket for somewhere but I'm not keen on bars profiting off of fans when they'll already be making a killing through drink all day (Bierlkeller for £20 is a disgrace)

Hopefully people who are stuck for rooms get sorted. We've kicked off about the hotels in Kiev overcharging and yet our own hotels are doing the same to take advantage of the demand. Hopefully with the UFC crowd in town as well things stay in a good mood. Last thing we need is more violence in town

Is there any evidence of that?

I think he probably means with another huge group of predominately males being in the centre that night, with everyone drinking heavily.

Fair enough, but I think it will be largely the same people...and doubt there will be any group rivalries

But just to be on the safe side let's ban all the birthday parties and stag do's too  ;)

Seriously, it's going to be a great BH weekend for Liverpool and with the Big Ears homecoming (I've gotta say potentially) too. Epic.

Yeah this is what I meant. We've had stabbings in town on just normal nights out and with thousands in town that are gonna be very drunk then we don't need people kicking off

What I will say is that boxing and UFC crowds (having been to a lot of both events) do tend to like a good scrap whether in the arena or afterwards

I'm not sure he's suggested banning anything, so no need to twist things for the drama.

Got tickets to watch it at the Olympia. Only a 10 minute walk into town and seems like one of the few places where there could be a big crowd and still tickets available. £10. Money goes to charity so if I sack it off at least some good comes of it.
