Great win and massive 3 points! Hoping for a similar result against Boro. 3rd place still possible, if Everton turn up against City.

You mean Arsenal? City have West Brom and Watford, although I can see them dropping points.

I doubt it Everton's last game is at Arsenal.

City have West Bromwich Albion at home and Watford away left.

That could have been a cricket score. We hit the bar 3 times, scored 4, didn't get out of second gear at times. We needed that, it's been a while since we twatted a team. Coutinho will surely move deeper next season as Klopp hinted at, and he was great today. He's worth the price of admission alone.

Finally the team delivered when it mattered, I hope we follow this outstanding performance with another one against Boro. Same starting XI with Firmino making the bench would be great

Great performance when under pressure.

Now get the job done against Boro and wait for European nights next season[emoji41]

Hope City drop points in midweek so that we can grab 3rd.

I'd agree West Ham weren't really at it but so what 0-4 away is fantastic and keeps things in our hands. Ive even got sneaky feeling for 3rd.

We go again.

I knew we'd win it. West Ham were done after beating Spurs. If we beat Boro and get top four, we've done what we need to do at a vital moment which bodes well for our future title challenge/s under Klopp. And we will. Exciting times, gang.

If we do finish 4th, we've been good enough for 4th. A title challenge was always a pipe dream. Was good while we were in the mix for a while, but ultimately, our squad isn't big enough yet.

a title challenge was and should have been reality. klopp and the players were amazing up until new year and they were let down by the self inflicted incompetence of recruitment whether that was owners, edwards or klopp. january comes, mane goes away for a month our top scorer and only player in the last third with genuine pace and no one is brought in. even if mane stayed we still needed another player at least. fucking negligence for me.

hopefully finish with a good win next week and we can at least salvage something from a season were we have made a lot of progress but we should have had a legitimate title challenge.

Huge amount of credit to the players as well, lot of pressure on that game today.

It's been said a few times this season and sadly ignored, but hopefully this sort of win pushes people to support their team positively rather than the incessant negativity around our results. Especially when recent results have been as good as anyone. Leicester miss a penalty, that's 3rd gone. Arsenal score, that's 4th gone. Arsenal score 4, that's 4th and goal difference gone. It's all inevitable, it's sad to know exactly what will happen, why can't we beat shit teams, wish we had good strikers, Alexis the difference between the two clubs etc etc etc etc. We all know Man City 3rd, Arsenal 4th, Liverpool 5tg, United 6th and win the EL, only team in the top 6 to miss out on the CL.

And this was YESTERDAY. Before we'd even stepped on a pitch this weekend.

With a fully fit team that includes Hendo Mane Sturridge Lallana and Coutinho we'd be comfortably third if not second IMO. Just have to make sure we have far better reinforcements for next term. I'd like to see Zaha come in as an option from the bench, been really impressed with him when I've seen him recently. Wouldn't be overly expensive either, could even throw in Sakho as part of that deal.

Couldn't agree more but sadly not sure its ever gonna happen no matter how well we do in the future. The really frightening thing is negativity seems to be how some people choose to live their lives nowadays, not only in how they "support" their team. The ultimate irony is that some have claimed that, in turn, they do it to garner "support" and/or some kind sympathy on here. Ironic indeed when they can't support their own team. Some twisted logic about avoiding dissappointment that way. Well I've got bad news. Disappointments happen in life the trick is learning how to deal with them and bounce back. They can't be avoided like some try to do.

Start of the season most of us have said we looked forward to a "hell of a ride" with Jürgen in charge. Its been exactly that - full of ups and downs. A lot of folks seem to concentrate on the downs for some reason.

Great performance. Harked back to pre-Xmas.

What an impact Lallana had Sturridge had on the team. It wasn't just their own performances that were impressive, but the option of shuffling the pack had a massive impact. Coutinho playing in the middle was fucking immense.

The set-up seemed to drag a bit more out of Origi as well who had a decent game for the first time in ages.

Goes someway to highlight just how crippling the injuries have been. Should we be surprised at just how impotent we were when we had to play a trio of Can, Lucas and Gini in midfield?

A timely tonic, and hopefully something we can carry over into next weekend.
I think the same, can't stand him, but if you could have a £1million pound cheque or steve bruces head hollowed out and filled with pound coins which would you have?
