Does it matter? We got the ball in the net four more times than they did.

A few inches from 7 or 8 goals! I think the score doesn't do our performance justice to be honest, at least on our side of the score-card.

Somebody please explain this to me, whenever it's posted I have no idea  ;D

It's from "Blazing Saddles". A black sheriff, not unlike Studge in appearance, is sporting a Gucci saddle and gear.

I'll have a couple of pints but it is also about being honest with ourselves or we wouldn't be any different from Everton fans.

Over the course of the season there are much to be worried about and today's good result doesn't change the fact we still weren't good enough. We aren't guaranteed 4th yet.

If we do finish 4th, we've been good enough for 4th. A title challenge was always a pipe dream. Was good while we were in the mix for a while, but ultimately, our squad isn't big enough yet.

Have to admit I'm not up to date with the rules. Worst case scenario: what happens if we finish 4th and Utd win the EL? Do we still get to play the qualification games to the CL?

I got confused and thought ours was the 4pm kick-off, fell asleep and just woke up to this. Life can be good.

Hmm, they can possibly draw one of them. Would be amazing to finish 3rd and not have to play a qualifier.

3rd would certainly help in avoiding being knocked out by Dortmund in the qualifiers!  :P

Great performance today.  I'm greedy, so I'm gutted we didn't score double, with some less than lethal finishing at times.  That aside, it's the perfect response to a tense scenario.

Give Sturridge a striker to play alongside and he will score goals.  We just need to pick a positive starting lineup against boro and we will do it.

Looking back at the season as a whole I think we deserve third to be honest. Haven't wanted to say that out loud though in case I jinx us. We've been inconsistent against mediocre opposition but have done great in the "top six league". Would be happy to settle for 4th at this point though ;D

What a difference having a proper striker makes.

In all seriousness everyone played well (Milner aside).

We were brilliant in the 2nd half, absolutely sensational.

I didn't think we had it in us after previous performances but that was absolutely fantastic.

I think we got a small glimpse of the futre with Coutinho in that role. I think next season we'll see Phil in a central midfield role, Mane one side, a Striker in the middle and a new winger on the left similar in style to Mane. He was absolutely unreal today, Phil.

WH were rubbish, and used suicide tactics. We put Coutinho in midfield and Sturridge on top, and they opt for a high line with weak pressure. Thank you very much.
No criticism against our performance, we did well, but this was not nearly a proper test of 442 or Sturridge. Very few teams in PL are that poor.

Just enjoy the win mate.
