Personally think it's to light.

They are using a lot of washed out colours now.

Could depend on TV settings aswell.

I didn't think 17 looked that great but think 18 looks absoloutely fantastic.

The demo actually plays really well. My only concern is I've been duped before by good FIFA demos.

The reality is it will change beyond recognition after a few updates.

It looks gorgeous though.

Got EA Access and it does play very differently to the last FIFA. I like it, feels less turbocharged. Hopefully they stick with it in the face of any outrage.

They've got me regardless. Ultimate Team is just too much fun.

I love Ultimate Team too but the lag in it makes it unplayable half the time!

I have a bit of a crap internet connection so I do too, fine on my friends though. But they actually have a new single player feature on it. Similar to the FUT Champions weekend league thing. You play against selected Ultimate Team squads and the higher difficulty you play the more points you get, and that goes to determining your prize at the end of the week (packs etc).

Just a shame the AI is unbearable to play against for the umpteenth game in a row. Driven pass through the middle, out to the wing, cross. Every single attack. Give or take the very occasional chip through ball.

Yeah it's not very balanced, they are impossible to get the ball off but virtually every shot against them goes in!

Had 1 game on the draft yesterday, fella paused instantly and threw Messi, Ronaldo and Bale on.

I had Van Basten upfront who couldn't win fuck all and Yashin in goal who saved fuck all.

Same shit, different year when it comes to online.

The gameplay offline is well better though.

Could be opponent's connection?

I used to play a lot on a pretty decent connection (60/60 Mbit), and usually there was no lag, but sometimes there was and every once in a while it was so bad it wasn't even possible to properly play the game. Noticed it was always consistent throughout the game whenever it happened though, so figured it was most likely because if my opponent's connection.

When you're at the "choosing home/away kit" screen there's a 3 bar thingy sort of blinking either green, yellow or red (or switching between either) and showing 0-3 "bars". If that often spikes down to 1 or 0 bars and/or the colour red I think that means your opponent probably has a slow or unstable connection.

Oh gawd knows then as normally the bars are good, but still get lag in 99/100 games. Not for the entire game mind, but enough to get you angry.

Having some decent luck in packs for the first time ever. Already gotten Morata, Kroos and Aubamayang in free packs before the games even out.

Not had luck like that in the whole of FIFA 17, and I did most of the SBC's so opened hundreds of packs.

I got the game (Ronaldo edition) last night. Liverpool are amazing on this. Mané and Salah on the wings with Bobby as a false 9 plays exactly as you'd want it to.

FYI: I was surprised that most of our players now have real faces: Gini, Matip, Karius and Klavan finally have theirs - plus even Woodburn, Gruijic and Ojo!

Can has been upgraded from 79 to 80 by the way (with the first squad update). All Liverpool stats can be found here: https://sofifa.com/team/9

It's much easier to get in behind. Far less interceptions when passing forward. I've noticed a couple of bugs last night on co op seasons with me mate. For example if you pause while your keeper is due to take a goal kick off the floor, when you restart he'll pass it forward without you pressing anything. Happened to us twice last night. Ball deflections have changed and are realistic, player movement is new but there are loads of fouls I find. Silly penalties given away for fuck all. Hopefully that lot will be patched soon but overall I'm finding it more fun than the last couple of years. I only play online so can't comment on offline.

Oh and the defenders are slower this year so everyone I've played online is set to defensive or ultra defensive and just play on the break constantly.  Nothing new of course but fuck me the defenders really have been slowed down.
