I like this football thingy. I think it could catch on. Do you think we should try it over here?

Good half from Dortmund, but Schalke are god awful. Schubert would take flak for the second goal, but I think their defence is to blame as well. McKennie and Sane the only ones who are putting shift.

Brandt has been brilliant, Witsel, Hakimi and Haaland also looking sharp.

There's no way I'd want to watch a whole season of this though.

Just 2 Liverpool games will be good enough for me :P

Schalke are the Everton of this rivalry.

Unlike us vs Everton the Revierderby is pretty even in the league Schalke have 32 wins, Dortmund 33 wins with 30 draws, Schalke have a better record in the cups, 5 wins to Dortmund's 2 wins

He's a Lewandowski type player in that he doesn't have any attributes that knock your socks off. Looking at him you'd think a bit of a cumbersome back to goal type player but he just scores goals by the million. Didn't impress RAWK much when we played Salzburg though, I think some said we signed the better player in Minamino. Such terrible shouts are usually reserved for me.

The kids an absolute beast. Not sure where he’d fit in right now but would be lovely to sign in a couple of seasons when we maybe adapt our tactics
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

I kinda disagree. He is really fast, big, has good game intelligence and good shot on him. Against us, he just camp up against one of few defenders that is bigger and faster than him.

I mean, he's a good all-rounder without a doubt but where Mbappe has outstanding pace that separates him from the pack etc Haaland doesn't really have anything. He just works, like Lewandowski.

Dortmund in the mood today.

Their results are wild since late last year.  Feel like they either win 4 or 5-0 or draw 3-3 and this looks (for now) like the former.

To be fair, similar thing happened in the NHL lockout in 1994. In that case, players went from being in pre-season to then being locked out with some not even training at all for weeks and months. When the games resumed, there were loads of blowouts early on due to a lack of tactical preparation and fitness among players. I'd expect the more skilled and fitter sides to thrive early on.

Good start from them to the 2nd half.
