I’ve been impressed with the RBL v Freiburg game as to how competitive the players have been from the off. A good start to the game.

An excellent referee too. One of my favourites, along with Zwayer.

He's good, and Gräfe too.  Funny thing is, the German ref that gets all the UEFA/FIFA games, is Felix Brych who is about the worst one  ;D Loads of good refs in Germany, and he isn't really one of them.

First time I’ve ever noticed (as it’s usually full of fans) but the standing section at Dortmund’s ground is just a straight terrace rather than the safe standing section?

they don't have the rail seats in Dortmund, they are 'crush carriers'.  It is safe standing, just one of 3 versions of it they use in germany. They are are strictly controlled 'blocks', you can't just go stand anywhere there.

I was just thinking, it's slightly more difficult to gauge without a crowd and atmosphere.

Sounds like an indoors 5 a side in your local leisure centre.

The biggest surprise for me is that the Bundesliga don’t use Adidas or Nike balls. Derbystar!? Have they always used that?
