Going for a walk every day has helped keep me sane. Just a brisk half hour or so. I hardly see a single soul when I'm out so it's quite strange, but it really helps clear my head. Probably my favourite part of the day now, I never would have thought that of an otherwise aimless walk along an empty road, but there you go.

Cutting the grass, I hate it with a passion but achieving it is great.
I suffer from depression and last year I smashed up my lawn mower as cutting the grass seemed the most pointless thing in the world.
Someone gave me a new mower and have just used it.

I'm building up to hoovering.

Getting furloughed today.

I've got so many jobs to do in my garage/on the bikes/the car and I'm always whining that I never have time to do them. Now I have Monday to Friday to do them and then I can do a shift on the trucks on Saturday or Sunday to top my money up. I'm on the books with the haulage company and have been since Feb 2009, so its not like anything is changing in that regard.

Hearing the birds singing instead of the traffic.

The streets looking clean because no bellends are throwing their Maccie D rubbish into the road.

Hardly any ciggies stubbed out in the street.

Yeh, something good to take from this virus crisis.

Opening my mailbox before and finding a letter addressed to ' Shanti Baba '. What the fuck is this I thought ?

I opened it and it's a few packs of incense and a stick of Paulo Santo ( South American sacred burning wood ) that cleanses your space. A Krsna postcard too. Its off my lovely friend and soul sister Sarah Savitri from the hippy fest scene down South.

A daughter wants us to do a drive-by birthday and talk and observe for one of my 3 grandsons.

Having mixed thoughts. I'd just wanna go hug the fuck outta them but their Mum is a hospital worker and cooler heads will prevail.

Maybe houseparty and zoom are better. No heartbreak.

I'm focussed on seeing the positives not the negatives. I'm luckier than millions, I got two weeks longer on full pay than most, I have a second job to turn to, fuck all mortgage - life's pretty cool for me.

I'll be going on big long walks of a day now to help get some weight off. Plus just had a table tennis table delivered, so will build that tomorrow and have some games with the kids.

Good for you mate I'm trying to do the same and we're in a similar situation.

We've got fuck all compared to most but far more than a lot of others so I'll do whatever I can to help them get through it and hope to god we survive.

Its just a temporary pause, we'll all be back at it soon - going to be a LOT of scruffy heads need sorting

. A friend of ours runs her own hair extension company in Liverpool, she's struggling but once we are all let out again, she'll be hammered too.

It sounds like you've had a real mental clearout there, Rob.

Sometimes we need that, don't we. Sort of resets everything.

Meditation / Mindfulness is fantastic. I hope you continue to benefit from it.

One positive thing the crisis seems to be doing is helping people to get off the hamster wheel and work out what's genuinely important to them and beneficial to them, their families and the greater good. It's coming at great cost, but it's happening.

Dad was taken into hospital this morning as he was feeling dizzy and coughing up a bit of blood.

Looks like it is a stomach ulcer due to not taking his meds properly, and chugging Naproxen due to a bad wrist.

Should be discharged tomorrow if he reacts well to what they've got him on, home is the best place to be and I'm so glad it's nothing worse.

Just been out on my bike and gulped in a bee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Managed to spit it out before it stung me in the throat!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But made sure to see that the little fella was okay on the floor before I cycled off.

Well, it wasn't his fault so can't blame him.

Bees are great so it made me happy - y'know, small things in life that make you happy etc

Finding the Now 70s TV channel.

I've just watched Kate Bush, Agnetha and Debbie Harry, then Olivia Newton John came on and I had to have a lie down.
Nostalgia can sometimes be so strong it hurts.

They repeat a lot on there but there is some great stuff. I've seen Zeppelin, Purple and Sabbarh as well.

There is also a Now 80s channel as well.

We’re now using two bedrooms, so we have our own space whenever we need it. Benefit of two people in a 3 bed house. She’ll probably move me to the third bedroom so there’s a buffer between us.
