Where in Tenerife are you Rob?

I’m off to Gran Canaria at the weekend. Next four days are going to be shite at work but once I get through it I can’t wait for some relaxation and sunshine...and cold beers. :D

Puerto Santiago, it's just before Los Gigantes. Been to this place 3 times now, loads of space and dead relaxing.

Weather looking great all week and into next, you'll have a great time.

After being single for many years, having a nice lady in my life, and waking up to those wonderful early morning cuddles.  ;)

That's enough of that - the kids could be reading this  ;D

But not to get too soppy because we're all manly men  :wave  but the day I met my girl was the best day of my life and she's still my best mate, but don't tell the lads  ;D

On a related note, Flashheart in Blackadder

Rik Mayall had quite ludicrous screen presence, handsome bastard as well in Goes Forth. Watched it with my dad the other day for the first time in years, pissed ourselves on 'any bird who wants to chain herself to my railings and suffer a jet movement wins my vote.'

I was just in a Walgreens (like a Boots type store) in downtown Chicago and three guys were in front of me, all in distinctive grey jail sweats, just been released from Cook County jail. Said they were buying a phone to call their ride home. They were all buzzing, flirting with the girls working there and laughing. Made me smile - I mean, odds are they have at least one murder victim between them but they seemed like nice guys.

Been reading a couple of articles on this so does anyone remember the Guinness Soccer Sixes, this was an indoor football tournament mid to late 80s normally held just before Christmas at the G-Mex in Manchester, we sent out a decent team with a couple of first team players, including Grobbelaar, Beardsley & Molby, all the first division teams plus City[who were in the second division]played in the 88 tournament, think we got beat in a couple of finals, but prize money on offer was pretty good then, article from the Anfield Wrap site

I remember we lost in the final to Charlton one year and it was seen as a big shock! Think it featured on a midweek Sportsnight?

Not even sure if this is the place for it, but I'm making a conscious decision to engage less of the bellendry of social media. And yes, I know forums are an early version of social media.

I've muted accounts, I've stopped myself from responding in a negative way and when I read something I like or appreciate I tell the person.

When I listen to a podcast that I like, I let them know. It's helping me massively and I'm finding things I'd use to jump all over not even registering.

Last night's UEFA decision being a prime example.

Off to watch Life of Brian now.

Missus is off work and been out with her mum shopping today for her bday, then for some food and drinks.

Picked her up 30 mins ago, and can now hear her in the bedroom putting random songs on the Alexa and singing badly to them all as she attempts to take her make up off  ;D

Yes I remember that, used to watch it on the telly.

It was on Sportsnight, Soccer Sixes was pretty popular reached it's peak late 80s but then got cancelled virtually overnight.

We then got the Masters Football, over 35s six a side tournament on SKY held in the close season during the 00s, the venues were at arenas all over the UK, we won a couple of tournaments too, the last edition played summer 2011

Listened to the Peter Crouch podcast interview of Mike Dean

Crouchie actually asks Dean if as a fan of Tranmere Rovers he has ever joined in with ‘the referees a wanker’ chants

Mike Dean was honest enough to say he had.

I took a couple of pics of one earlier, walking down the road in nearly full daylight and looking very chilled out. Never know how to post them on here (although it’s clear you know what a fox looks like already. :D )

I know they get a bad press, but I love them.

Pity you can't put your pics up.

I was driving back from a friend's one night a while back and there was a fox strolling down South Road in Waterloo as happy as Larry. They get everywhere these days.  :)
