it was released on netflix 24 hours later last season.

It's the same this year

Each episode was on Netflix 24 hours after it aired on AMC?

Just watched the first episode of series 1 and really enjoyed it. Saw a clip for episode 2 and I can see that ....

Spoiler
Tuco is back..yay :)

Question is. Did Saul come into contact with Tuco in Breaking Bad. I'm struggling to remember

After a quick look at the wiki, I don't think so. Saul's first appearance was in S2E8, Tuco's last was S2E9, and he wasn't in S2E8.

Prior to watching I was really skeptical about this to be honest but 3 episodes into Season 1 I'm absolutely loving it.

Jimmy (Saul) is a such a great character.  Obviously you get to see a much deeper side to him in this show than Breaking Bad and he is such a fucking lovable character.

He sort of reminds me of Alan partridge or David Brent in a way.  One of life's losers who you desperately want to see succeed. :)

Spoiler
The scene in the desert where Jimmy was desperately trying to talk down Tuco to save the Skater twins and his own life was tense stuff but brilliant TV.

Got a couple of weeks to finish and enjoy season 1 before season 2 airs.

Episode 6 'Five-O' which was primarily the Mike Ehrmantraut back story, was one of the best TV Drama episodes I have ever seen. Fucking amazing episode.

No wonder Jonathan Banks gained critical acclaim and won awards for his performance in that episode.

Yiannis mate. You are my TV program chat angel!

Just when I think I'm rambling to myself in these TV threads you pop up and save me :) You got involved in 'The Knick' thread too if i remember right.

I know I'm late to the party with BCS but I'll be there from the start on season 2.  Premiers on Netflix UK on 16th Feb i believe just hours after AMC show it in the states.

Haha. Just happens to have similar taste on quality series.

On a side note, just finished watching Hinterland on Netflix. I liked it. Especially the last episode.

Nice. I also recommend the Insider podcast, if you listen to those. It's hosted by one of the editors, Vince Gilligan is always on and they have some of the actors and directors etc on as well. It usually comes out a day or two after the episode is on tele. It's a bit of a love-in at times, but you do get some great behind the scenes info.

Is Hinterland the Welsh Crime drama? Might just give it a go if you recommend it.  Although I'm itching to start 'The Bridge' Season 2 when I've finished Better Call Saul.

Nice one mate. I will defo give these a go during season 2.

Just noticed episode 8 of season 1 (which i will be watching tonight) is written by Gordon Smith again.  It appears that Episode 6 was his first ever TV script he did by himself and it was fucking amazing.  Surely episode 8 can't be AS good, but I did notice earlier in the thread that episode 8 was also touted as a superb episode. Stopped reading the thread then, to avoid spoilers :)

Yeah. That's it. Wasn't something revolutionary but the lead performance was good and had a lovely cinematography.

Really love the fact that they haven't just thrown Jimmy straight into the Saul persona we know from Breaking Bad. It would have felt to forced.

Lovely opener for the season to come :)

Spoiler
Think it was about showing the contrast in his attitude at the time compared to the opening scene, when he's stuck in the garbage room and has to choose between opening the back door and alerting the police and risk being exposed, or wait for someone to come along and let him out. Even though it's highly unlikely the cops will link him to Heisenberg, Saul decides to take no chances and wait, whereas Jimmy just can't help but let his curiosity get the better off him, even if it means doing things he shouldn't.
