The lad has a shockingly bad dress sense, though as far as Im concerned, he can wear taped together bin bags decorated with shite, as long as he keeps scoring.  ;D

The amount of hell this has caused on Twitter, especially since we are still in the transfer window. Did he do this with good intensions :lmao :lmao
Obviously he's asking because we have so many Spanish speaking players, but yeah every muppet on twitter decided to blow it out of proportion! (as usual)

Poorest attempt at doing the Sturridge I've seen. Needs way more arm movement.

"How I see it, if [American] men talk to [British] women [in the United States], they like the accent, no?"

That quote from the Complex article had me rolling. It is sooo true, speaking first-hand as an American male who gives a British female an instant 2-4 points on the proverbial scale.

Edit: On a side note in regards to the Twitter thing; it's so sad that people's spontaneous, organic reaction is to think he's off to a team in Spain. As opposed to, hell I don't know, thinking it is to speak with the 2 new Spanish speaking players (3 if you count Suso returning from loan) more easily.

Crucial goal, did well for it too, could easily have been caught ball watching and strayed offside but he kept his eye on the line and dropped a little deeper to remain onside then came up with the crucial finish when it mattered

He's world class. There's no doubt about it. There's no real signature style to him, he's just got a little bit of everything.

I'd really like to see him up his work rate off the ball now that Suarez is no longer here. We really seemed to miss Luis' constant pressing and harrying today. One chance, one goal though.

Lallana will fill that void. He covered as much ground as Jordan Henderson last year and he made the most successful tackles in the opposition half out of any other player in the league. But yeah it'll be an added bonus if Sturridge can make his game a bit more all rounded in terms of work rate now that he is the main man here.

Knows where to be, which is half the game for a striker. He'll get over 20 again this season, maybe 30 if he stays fit.  Just lives to score goals.

Huge goal, he's just deadly in the box. It was vital for us to start with a win and he made the best of the only chance that he had. His link up play was not as good as in other occasions, but it's just the start of the season.

Not really, as their centre halves were allowed to walk into our midfield with the ball more or less unopposed, playing a massive part in them bossing possession and nearly taking something from the game. So no, it's not all that counts.

needs a song.

I'm surprised there isn't one already. Great technique for the winner, just felt he found it difficult to get into the game. Not sure if it was the lack of movement around him, or not enough quality balls to him, either way, in these circumstances he still found a way to get on the scoresheet.

He's no Suarez in terms of creativity/consistency of all-round game, but his goalscoring record is madness.
