Silva's a major doubt.

http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=244564

Good news. How many is that out for them now?

EDIT: City fan on that thread reckons their team will be:

Hart

Richards Savic* Lescott Clichy

De jong Barry

Johnson Milner Ballotelli

Aguero

*If Kompany's banned

Yaya & Kolo Toure. Kompany potentially, Silva? Dzeko and Balotelli were both injured at the weekend?

from the link

I've just been hearing that Silva is most likely going to be out of the Liverpool game due to injury...... medical team are doing what they can to aid recovery, but chances are he will miss the tie

I think if you could pick 3 players from that side based on form it would be Kompany, Yaya Toure and David Silva

Can't say I'm massively disappointed

The guy who's reporting the Silva news also says that Silva's gone to see his specialist in Spain, so it's looking pretty certain he's out.

These 2 games could be where Andy Carroll's Liverpool career really starts. I just get the feeling things could be falling into place here, 1st he scores an absolute cracker the other night whilst being rested for 80mins and it now looks likely that he's going to have a couple of goes at a City defence with Savic at the heart of it.

So if Kompany and Toure are out who do City play alongside Lescott? Maybe move Richards in there, or throw that Serbian kid in? I hope Andy Carroll is licking his lips at those pairings, I know Bellamy will be!!

probably be Savic, though would love it if it was Richards. Absolute liability at centre-back. Doubt mancini would be that stupid.

I can't see Kompany's red card being overturned.

Yes its stupid that football has gone this way, and the laws of the game do not explicitly state "2 feet= red card" but thats pretty much how refs and the FA are interpreting it nowadays.

He was two footed and he was marginally off the ground. There is enough doubt for the referee's decision to stand.

I think it was Silva who got a good kicking by Jones after 25 minutes.
Far side near the half way line and Silva had the ball, stopped from
going up the line by another united player and Jones came in from
behind and booted him across the back off the knees, no attempt to
play the ball.
Referee didn`t do anything about it.

Think we might lose the game, so we've got to make sure we don't lose it too heavily as I fancy us to do them at Anfield if we know what we have to get.

Just being realistic, I'd take 2-1 to them right now, a draw would be brilliant, a win would be fucking amazing.
I trust the King, but if we lose a few more on the trot now - he may have to step aside, and we have to purchase another manager in the middle of the season. If we are relegated, this could be the end of our ambitions to win any title the next 100 years.

There is no better chance than now to beat them. Our defense will have to be good though, can't afford to make silly mistakes like last time.

2-1 maybe we'd have a chance. A loss without us scoring? That would be us done.

Hope the lads have their shooting boots on.

Got a feeling we will win this 1 or 2 nil. Just things going against City at the moment and hopefully still feeling the affects from Sunday chasing a game for 80 mins with 10 men.

Doesn't matter about the ref, Man Cittee have no players now as generally they are African or banned, except for Silva who is generally known to be too short

1-2 to us
