We got what we deserved from the game, nothing. Elliot should have cut the cross out that they scored from, Perez should have done better in the build up. Diame is like a corpse and Joselu has to get dropped as he's offering nothing up front. When he first broke into the team he had good movement, he doesn't seem to have that now.
You are really lacking a Mata/Aimer type player. I can understand Perez even if he cannot find those passes because once you do get a player to play there with proper workrate the team will already suit and understand the movements needed.
Noticed that with Joselu, however Merino has a great pass into feet for Joselu which Jonjo tends to ignore. The new centre back Lejeune at the end showed what could be done with a lovely hard pass into Hayden, after the ball going wide or high all game. Joselu found himself far to far back the pitch trying to link up. Ruins his movement.
Saying all that your main target still needs to be survival. Not scoring enough goals can lead to a tailspin. Looking at the lad from Chelsea Abraham is a shame to see him not playing for this team, he would could play similer to Joselu with more intensity and better finishing.
You need a better forward and number ten. Also getting masch for a year would be gold for ye.
