Joke
IF it was the Liverpool fans' fault - well they deserve plaudits. They managed to upset a professional footballer, a key player for the richest football club in the world, so much that it not only put him off his game it's put him off behaving like a professional - both during the match and for days after.
How good is that!!?
Next time we play them, they have licence to do exactly the same. We hear about the "12th man" and how the crowd at Anfield, particularly the Kop, can influence a game. Well, I've never heard anyone say the influence was at this level. I not only expect players like Sterling to be targeted in the future, I think it's the Liverpool fans' duty to do so. As long as there's nothing vile in the attention they dish out, nothing racist, bigoted, abusively personal, etc., then it's all good. Boo him, jeer him, laugh at him. If it helps us win it'd be madness not to, it'd be a dereliction of duty in fact!
Well played the Anfield crowd.
