We know him well enough to know he isn’t really that way inclined.
I think what we are seeing here is the effect of pressure.
Pep builds a hugely intense regime... and it’s exceptionally effective. This is the negative side effect of that, for some players it can be stifling.
Sterling is ok, he’s not a bad kid. What this tells us is the pressure they’re under. Will they get beyond it? Maybe.. they’re brilliant
As an adult he hasn't really had this type of reaction. Not that we've seen in public.
My initial reaction was like yours. I thought it hints at how wound up Sterling, and maybe City are. That should be music to our ears. 3 defeats in 12 games and they look a bit rattled. This just adds to the way Garudiola was on the touchline on Sunday. Now City might turn all this anger into a good run of form. Equally they feel like they are teetering on the edge. A poor result against Chelsea and it would be really interesting to see how they react.
I'm literally not arsed about Sterling or his reaction. I'm not sure why anyone hear should be either. Arguments happen in the workplace all the time. This is just an example of where it iis very public and as such the discipline and subsequent apologies are played out in the public eye.
The only downside to all this is that Sterling gets a rest with not playing on Thursday. He's City's best player so him getting a week off is the only downside.
